China Panda — Restaurant in Hilltown Township

Okay food. Decent but not mind blowing. However, that's not the reason I am leaving a crappy review. I drove to China Panda to place an order in person tonight because I couldn't get through to someone on the phone. I am local and I know they are open. Everytime I call, they would either not pick up at all or just hang up. I got here to find they are indeed open. A lady took my order at the counter and then went back to the kitchen. While I am sitting here waiting for my order, I am watching some kid at the counter repeatedly pick up the ringing telephone and hang up immediately. I said something to the lady about it and she apologized. But why would anyone allow this to happen in the first place? All they are doing by hanging up on customers is pissing us off and driving away business. I don't know if the kid works here or is a family member or what but either way he is bad for business. It's not even like he is hiding it. He is doing it right in front of customers. I hope the owners see this review because this is not okay. They are not the only Chinese food place in...

The food used to be excellent there but it has gone down dramatically. We continued to order there because we didn’t know of any other Chinese restaurants local that delivered. But recently, they’ve been nickeling and diming and charging for stupid things like extra sauce on the side and things like that. Well a few weeks ago I tried to order it and apparently they don’t deliver this far anymore even though they used to deliver here all the time. Also, the only guy there that speaks decent English is rude, ignorant and really needs to go. The sad thing is I think he might own the restaurant or be a manager there. No wonder the restaurant has gone downhill. I think the fact that they don’t deliver her anymore is a blessing in disguise. The food is now mediocre at best and well overpriced.

Our several dinner groups have really enjoyed the quality of food at Panda. Sometimes the preparation time is a bit long - but when one is hungry, waiting can be hard. The presentation has been beautiful and the pricing is modest. The portion size has been generous, usually we've taken home food for a second meal there.

Our visits have all been IN the restaurant, not online. We recommend it and have urged friends to try it out. For those fearing spicy food, we have not found it overly spicy.

We WOULD like the option of brown rice but lacking that would not keep us from going there. We have eaten there probably five times on Sundays....with dinner parties of four to twelve. We DO practice going ahead and eating as soon as one is served with no requirement that all are served before one begins to eat...(after we have returned thanks to God for...
