When this facility was a Jewish Hospital facility, patient care as well as patient access to get into the facility was great. Since U of L Healthcare has taken over it's a nightmare. They've eliminated handicapped parking that was close to the door and made it as inaccessible as every other building they've designed. Whomever designs these facilities is much more focused on aesthetics than patient care. Sick and injured people can't make a 1/2 mile trek from a parking lot just to get into a lobby. Not everyone has help or a person to drop them off. They've made every UofL building parking a great distance to the door in all of their facilities. If you have mobility problems and you have nobody to drop you off you're out of luck. I've been to 2 different UofL Orthopedic clinics where the offices that are supposed to treat people with broken legs and other injuries. The clinics in these new buildings as far away from the door as possible and down extremely long corridors. Literally 1/2 mile in one care. It's a complete joke how little thought these building designers have put into thinking about the patients they serve. In addition, I've been to the Jewish South ER many times over the years. Since University of Louisville has taken over, it is an absolute nightmare and I will never go back there again. I spent 8 hours sick and in tremendous pain while young resident doctors who knew less about medicine than I came in and tried to give me useless information. I finally insisted on a certain diagnostic test simply as proof that I didn't have a possible severe injury since they couldn't seem to think of it on their own. It was absolutely unacceptable and ridiculous. I received substandard medical care and spent an entire night in an ER for no reason at all. Other than the incompetent disorganized entity that is U of L health. It's pathetic. On top of everything else, they've made their buildings for anyone with mobility issues inaccessible in terms of the distance you must travel. Accessibility isn't always just about going up or down steps etc. People struggling with injuries or illness simply cannot walk a mile to make it to an office because some architect wanted the facility to look pretty. Sure, they have ramps and handicap doors. You can roll in if you have a wheelchair or if you have someone to push you which I do not. I always relied on being able to park close to the door and even then had a hard time gaining entry. Now that all those handicap accessible parking spaces are gone. I won't be returning to this facility mainly because I can't. U of L health has the most inept building designers, who are obviously focused solely on how they look rather than on the care that they give or with any thoughts towards how a patient can even make it into one of their buildings. It's a trend in healthcare that is rampant since these corporations have taken over our healthcare in Louisville. Obviously the people who've made the decisions about building design have never cared for the sick or injured. In and of themselves, the facilities are a blaring indication of the value system that cares more about aesthetics than function /patient care. It is pathetic. It's another crack in the veneer of our failing...
Read moreThis review is for the UofL Physician's Office of NP Jamie Greenert and their support staff. Specifically, the front office staff...the practitioner is kind and patient. My practitioner Greenert referred me to U of L's Breast Health team, located in the same building. Great. After a few weeks of back and forth, the Greenert office was finally able to schedule me with the Breast Health team, for 7 weeks later. That was a long wait, but you have to take what you can get. Keep in mind that I have already filled out all of my paperwork for U of L, I have also filled out paperwork to have my Health History forwarded from Norton's to U of L. Because U of L would need it. Fast forward to the Breast appointment. The office will not complete my mammogram because the wrong 'order' was sent by my practitioners office. Nor has this office received the Health History, which was all scheduled and completed 7 weeks ago. I am then instructed to leave without care and to contact my practitioner, Jamie Greenert's office to have the correct Order sent to the breast office...and have my practitioner reschedule me for the correct type of mammogram and care. This is frustrating because as a patient with no training in the medical field or training in office/medical paperwork, we HAVE to trust the professionals to do their job correctly. And when they do not complete their job correctly, which we are paying for....it's an 'oopsie.' And it's something, I as the patient have to figure out for them. Now I have to wait for the correct 'order' to be approved by my NP, then sent to the Breast office, then re-approved by health insurance, and THEN get rescheduled for an appointment i've already waited 7 weeks for!
It is what it is, but my hope is that someone on the correct team at U of L takes a look at this information and uses it to improve their training and systems to prevent this from...
Read moreZero stars actually. I was denied medical services for refusing a mask during the treadmill portion of a isolated stress test. Actually I never got to the treadmill. I was setup by my cardiologist for a holster monitor, ultra sound and stress test for my heart. Was told to leave before anything was done. Everyone was nice till I was called to the back by an obvious tired of working and disgruntled employee. She greeted me with disdain. She took my blood pressure, told me to wear my mask properly (over my nose). Told her I’m a healthy individual and while I’ll wear it “properly” while on the bed I will Not wear a mask on the treadmill. She rudely told me I will wear a mask properly during my whole stay (3-4 hours). Told her no, I will not wear the mask where it’s unsafe to raise my heart rate and restrict my breathing, especially after just getting over bacterial pneumonia from a month and a half ago. She said then I can reschedule, I told her I guess I will and I do not fear a politicized virus, especially after 19 months. I’m done. Also, since she has her mask on, isn’t she protected from anyone unmasked? Zero logic. She lacked respect from the get go. I asked who I need to reschedule with, she tells me she don’t know. Ok, people like her will have their day with god and karma. Funny I went here in the first place cause the ER location was actually helpful in early August. However guess it depends on who you get and what their political stance is. I however will not further damage my lungs while they are still healing. I’ve done my...
