Waffle House — Restaurant in Hillview

Came in last night for a late night supper. Parked our semi across the street at the pilot (my daughter and I are team drivers). We walked over and sat at the bar. Our server was Tonya. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by both she and the cook..I think his name was Sebastian?? Any way, there were a few tables already filled and she handled it with such confidence and treated each one so kind! You could tell she and the cook were working hard to get orders out. Once our drinks arrived, they were never empty. She stayed right on it! Cleaned as she went and she didn’t make us feel rushed or that we were a bother! The cook…. Let me tell you! He didn’t miss a beat. She rattled off the orders and he set them up without even batting an eye! Never asked for her to repeat anything! He kept his area clean, organized and he moved with such confidence as well. Didn’t seem bothered or concerned with the orders that kept coming! I watched him change his gloves, didn’t bat an eye once he touched chicken or pork chops to change his gloves and keep going!! It was great!

They worked well together you could tell. They were both so very nice and polite!

Definitely made our late night meal nice and relaxing! I have to say being a truck driver we see a lot and as a woman driver, it was nice to be treated with so much respect and kindness. They both deserve to be told how great they made our experience…....

Came here on a Saturday and I was very impressed with this location. Having eaten at Waffle Houses all over the country and at all hours, I have to say that this was an exceptional experience with wonderful employees and darned good food. Our waitress, Kimm (with two M's) was great and she made us feel welcome in their place and I truly appreciate that. I got the chicken hashbrown bowl with fresh tomatoes on it (which I had never had before and LOVED) and she brought me salsa too. Man was it GOOD! This place had ample seating, wide isles for wheelchairs and such, and plenty of parking. They were covid cool and super friendly. I will definitely be going back there and hopefully Kimm will get some props from this too because she was EXCELLENT. All the staff made us feel welcome and at home and that is truly what makes Waffle Houses a must stop when I am traveling. Well done and thank you, 2021 E Blue lick Rd...

It's a shame you can't give them a ZERO star rating. The restaurant was like a furnace. It had an odd smell when we walked in. My wife's eggs weren't cooked as requested. My Sausage Bowl didn't get the extras I asked for. I was too stressed to deal with it. (Family Emergency). Then, on top of it, no military discount. Seems this owner has 5 locations. Only ones who get the discount are those right outside of Fort Knox. We travel all over the East Coast and Mid South of this Fine Country of ours. Waffle House boasts about their support for our Veterans and Active Duty personnel. This is the one and only location who has ever not offered the discount. WHAT A DISGRACE!!!! I HAVE POSTED THIS LOCATION ON FACEBOOK, TRIPADVISOR, GOOGLE MAP, AND SEVERAL OTHERS. You stepped on the wrong Marines...
