Rig Outfitters and Home Store/Furniture — Local services in Hobbs

I had a mixed experience at Rig Outfitters. On one hand, the staff were incredibly sweet and helpful, which I truly appreciated. However, my overall experience was marred by the store's return policy.

I was disappointed to learn that they won't exchange or accept returns on clothes that have been washed according to the manufacturer's instructions. While I understand the need for policies, this feels a bit petty, especially considering the circumstances. I was informed that the owner is the one who enforces this rule, which seems out of touch with the needs of their customers.

Additionally, the store's limited hours made it challenging for me to visit. It took me a week to come in, and I had to take a day off work just to attempt an exchange. To find out that the owner wouldn’t accept my items was frustrating.

As someone who works with tools, I prefer pre-washed clothes for comfort, and I feel that the owner may not fully understand his target customer base.

The plant I work at recommended Rig Outfitters but based on my experience, I’ll be changing our recommendation from Rig Outfitters to Martin Boot Company. While I might spend a little more there, I believe I'll be better taken care of. Also, for anyone looking for gloves, I found Rig Outfitters’ selection lacking. McCoys has a better variety of leather gloves at a good price.

this place is complete trash, how does a local store take advantage of its local customers or customers in general ???? If you have the means to go out of town or order it off of Amazon I would, because this store wants to mark everything up by 40% which is completely insane. This place will rob you blind. Terrible customer service, to the ladies...if you don't know the answer to something, don't be rude. I suggest you calmly ask another associate or try asking a manager. Really bad experience in here, never again will I bother to even look in this direction when passing by. (Response to the Owner) It's no one's fault but the staff themselves. As far as negative reviews, you guys have numerous negative reviews just this past year alone! Your prices are way overpriced! Just went to legacy safety and found the same DXO carbon fiber hard hat for $90 cheaper! Your store is in no one competitive with other local stores, you are literally taking advantage of the local people here, which is disgusting!...

I've never seen the mall look the way it did in my entire life living here in Hobbs. It looked like a warehouse towards Rigs Outfitters out in the hallway. Couldn't access the restrooms as you were busy jumping boxes and trying to fit through the furniture. All the large bulk was covering up store fronts and made it challenging for stores that were open to have clear access for its customers and it being a huge safety hazard for fellow mall patrons and tenants. Needs to have better organization and take into consideration of buying/renting a warehouse to house all bulk. Makes the mall look like a flea market and trashy.
