BEWARE ORDER FROM THIS RESTAURANT!!
My daughter was working in Hobbs, New Mexico and fell ill. She was in her hotel all alone with no one to help her and I ordered some soup for her through Uber Eats, from Mei's Foodie Hub. Before placing the order, I called the restaurant to make sure they would be able to accommodate the order quickly, and to alert them to an allergy. I was assured that there would be no problem getting the order out right away, since that they were not busy at all. The time they told the driver was 15 to 20 minutes until it was ready to be picked up. We finalized the order quickly with Uber Eats and thought all was well.
Just over an hour later, my daughter reached out to me asking if we knew when her order would be delivered. We checked the app and The Uber Eats app said the restaurant was delaying the order. It said that it would be there in 25 minutes.
I tried calling the restaurant to see what was going on and I only got a busy signal. I told my daughter the updated late arrival time. At this point, she had not eaten for hours and felt terrible.
An hour after that, she reached out to me again saying her order was STILL not there. The Uber Eats app said the restaurant was delaying the order but that it should be there soon. A few minutes later, the order arrived. The total time from placing the order, which I was assured would be ready in 15 to 20 minutes, took over two hours. Then when the order arrived, it was incomplete!
After trying the restaurant on the phone for over an hour and only getting a busy signal, I was finally able to get through to someone. I asked for a refund for the items that were not included in the order in which we paid . The owner refused, saying it was Uber. Eats' fault, not hers. WE PAID FOR FOOD WE DID NOT RECEIVE!
Unfortunately, my daughter is too ill to be able to get to the restaurant to pick up the items she was missing, so we have paid for food that we did not get. We will be filing a complaint with Uber Eats about this restaurant, but I wanted to let anyone who is thinking about ordering an Uber eats meal from...

We started with the sushi roll (around $13.99), which came out first. Presentation was okay, but the service really set the tone for the rest of the visit. Our server was nice but clearly inexperienced — he brought drinks with only forks wrapped in napkins. At a place that serves sushi and noodles, that’s already a red flag. When the sushi arrived, there were no plates, no soy-sauce dishes, and not even chopsticks on the table. I had to actually ask for them, which just shouldn’t happen in an Asian restaurant.
Next up was the Lanzu Spicy Beef Noodle Soup ($13), which was supposed to feature hand-pulled noodles. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to that claim. The broth tasted like spicy water — flat, one-dimensional, and lacking any richness. The noodles themselves didn’t have that chewy, handmade texture either.
Then came the beef fried rice ($12.99), which was honestly one of the weakest dishes. It wasn’t too salty, but it had little to no real flavor. It was mostly heavy on soy sauce, with barely any egg or vegetables, aside from a few bits of frozen corn that tasted freezer-burned. The beef looked a little questionable too, which didn’t help.
We also tried the crystal shrimp dumplings ($12.99 for six pieces), and they were just average. They tasted more like something frozen that had been reheated than freshly made — definitely not worth the price tag.
The only standout was the coconut pineapple shrimp ($13.99), which was crispy, flavorful, and had a nice balance of sweetness and crunch. If anything, that was the one redeeming dish of the night.
For two people and a single can of Coke, the total came out to around $80 before tip, which felt very steep for what we got. The restaurant is located inside an older, quiet mall that’s clearly seen better days, and you can smell that “old building” scent as soon as you walk in.
I’m big on supporting small local restaurants, but this place just missed the mark in too many areas — flavor, service, and overall value. Maybe they’ll improve over time, but for now, I...
