Modern SLC Injections & Aesthetics — Local services in Holladay

Because it was my first time ever getting cosmetic injections, I did A LOT of research before deciding to come to Hillary while I was in town visiting family. I live in a big city in the East Coast where cosmetic procedures can be 2x more expensive than they are here. Not only was she willing to do a facetime consultation before my visit, during my visit Hillary was willing to work with my very limited grad student budget by combining manufacturer rebates saving me hundreds of dollars.

Hillary was very accommodating and informative. I went in dead set on getting something in particular, but after she explained to me the particular symmetry of my face, I ended up getting something different and I absolutely loved it! She listens to her patients and offers her honest professional opinion for subtle enhancements to your natural beauty, without overdoing it. Even after the appointment she followed up to see how I was doing and how I was liking the results.

We made a plan for a future treatment, which I was able to go in for having had to extend my stay due to the pandemic. This time I was able to save at least a thousand dollars to get everything I wanted. It has been just a day and I am still swollen, but I am already OBSESSED with the results!!!

I am so so happy with my decision to go to Hillary! I highly doubt a big medspa would be able to have such a personal connection with their patients, nor offer them the discounts and rebates Hillary tries to. She truly wants her patients to be happy while enhancing their natural beauty and tries to keep it as affordable as possible. Thank you so much Hillary!!! I will definitely be coming back to her whenever...

2 years later & what can I say! When you leave Modern you leave with the peace of mind knowing you’ve found your trusted provider. The location is convenient, the waiting room is gorgeous, though you’re never in it long! When it’s time to get in the chair, you feel like you’re the only client they have and every need / question is addressed. I particularly admire Dr. Taggart’s injection approach. It is nuanced and carefully tailored to be the perfect fit, from every relevant perspective you can think of. I cannot recommend this spa enough, you will not regret making the visit. I waited years to find the right doctor who I trust. Hillary was attentive, listened to my wishes, and most importantly made me feel safe and comfortable. As a first timer, I was nervous/ not sure what to expect & not well educated regarding anything concerning facial aesthetics. She took the time to explain things to me and did not pressure me in any way. Incredible bedside manner, sanitary and very cute office space, warm and welcoming staff. She even makes you laugh through the pain with funny jokes! Modern SLC is a wonderful establishment that has my trust / business as a lifetime patient. Thank you for helping me...

I truly do not understand the good reviews. I have been here twice - I came back after a disappointing first experience because, with all the glowing reviews, I thought I had just been on an off day. Both times, they were excessively late in seeing me for my appointment - nobody at the front desk even acknowledged me when I walked in, and I waited in the waiting room while staff walked by multiple times with, again, no acknowledgement of my presence, or the wait. When I was finally seen, there was zero apology or even acknowledgement of the wait. Additionally, I found bedside manner, particularly Hillary's, to be lacking - I've never had a provider express so little interest and ask so few questions before proceeding. Again from her and also the front desk staff - no one cared to thank me for visiting, ask if I had any questions, or ask how my visit was. But of course, they do prompt you for a tip (for a medical procedure... I have not experienced this at any other medspa I've been to - whether in SLC, NYC, LA, or otherwise...), and try to upsell you on another service when you do check out. Net-net, with so many med spas to choose from in the Salt Lake area, I wouldn't choose Modern SLC again - my results were subpar, and I've seldom felt so unvalued as a customer...
