I've been shopping at this Meijers for almost 30 years. I've never had a great shopping experience there but I've never had the worst shopping experience of my life there until today. I went in for few grocery items and saw that bacon was on sale. There were only 4 bags left of this particular brand so I grabbed one. Upon paying the price came up double and I let the self service guy know. He looked for coupons and couldn't find any so I told him I'd be ok to walk back and take a picture of the sale. I did so, brought the picture back to him, he saw it and adjusted the price while saying, "that's usually the most expensive kind" to which I thought, oh, well I better go back and buy the last 3 bags if it's that great of a deal. So I went back and got them, upon checkout he tells me, "oh I can't authorize that adjustment" which in my mind was ludicrous since he had just done that exact price adjustment not 3 minutes prior for the EXACT same thing!! So he calls for a manager. I stood there in line for 20 MINUTES before an extremely rude manager finally showed up. She walks up on her phone and says rudely "What do you want!?", I explained and showed her the receipt and she immediately cuts me off and says "we already helped you once we WON'T DO IT AGAIN!!!" I immediately left disgusted in the way I was treated and told them I'd be writing this review. I can't believe after 30 years of shopping loyalty this is how I was treated by management no less. If you can avoid shopping at this store, I strongly suggest you shop elsewhere. I personally along with everyone I can let know and values where they spend their hard-earned money will no longer shop here. Absolutely the WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY 30 WASTED YEARS OF SHOPPING AT THE 16TH STREET MEIJERS. I wish I had every penny I spent there back. Horrendous...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe attendant in the wheelchair on the non-grocery self checkout side has harassed me TWICE now and wrongfully accused me of shoplifting. The first time was because I brought in my own Tervis water bottle lid (clearly out of the packaging and used) to try and measure it up against the ones they had in store to find another color in the same size⦠when I put it in my bag at the self check he accused me of stealing it. Then today I set an item I didnāt want aside at the same self check, did not scan it, and did not put it anywhere NEAR my bag but the system said āapproval neededā so he came over to ask what was going on. I explained that I had used a coupon and also set an item I did not intend to purchase aside, to which he very rudely told me to āgo put it on the service desk, Iām out of here.ā When I asked him if he meant right now while I was still scanning my items, he glared at me and wheeled away. I put the item on the desk and finished my checkout with him still hovering and looking angrily in my direction. I do NOT appreciate this type of treatment and feel that if I wasnāt using coupons and buying discounted items he would not be scrutinizing me like this. I will use the grocery side self check from now on, everyone on that side is very friendly and understanding and never makes false...
