Super long wait on drinks for being such a small place. Food is okay, priced accordingly. Karaoke night is HORRIBLE. I love karaoke and even ran karaoke in the West Michigan area many moons ago so I know how it SHOULD go. But I've tried it out at The Office a few times and each time the experience was less than desirable. The vocals are turned up so loud that the speakers pop and your ears end up hurting from the extreme loudness. But my worst complaint is about their rotation practices. Guests that get there super early on purpose(before 8pm when karaoke starts at 9pm) to get songs put in first, still have to wait over an hour to sing their first song, then have to wait almost 2 1/2 hours to sing their next song, ONLY to notice that we've been moved farther back to the end of the rotation list SEVERAL TIMES because new people that JUST got there put a song in. I understand that they are busy and a lot of people want to sing. But when people walk in hours after you and their song gets put in the current rotation BEFORE your song that you've been waiting on for hours, and you get pushed back MULTIPLE spots in that rotation, is bad practice and isn't fair. Those people should go to the END of that rotation, or into the NEXT rotation line up. I know they claimed they want to get people that haven't sang yet up there, but then those people should get there hours early like the rest of us and get their songs in early as well. This has happened the other times we went too, even when there was a different person running the show, and this time we had had enough and ended up talking to an employee about our concern. I asked to speak to the manager and I was told the person running the show WAS the manager. So I then asked who the owner was because I would like to talk to them about it and was told "Good luck....the owner is the father of the manager who's running the show so relaying any concern to them about it will probably go in one ear and out the other". Well that was a pretty poor response to give a customer. Regardless, we spent a lot of money on food and beverages while we waited hours to get pushed down the line behind newcomers. Needless to say, we won't be back there for karaoke until things are...
Read moreI went there with some coworkers to grab a quick afternoon drink. It was happy hour until 6 but when the bill came we were all charged full price. (Everything was ordered before 6) When I confronted our waitress about this she first lied and told me that happy hour ended at 5:30 which I immediately corrected her by pointing out the large board that said happy hour until 6. She then said she couldn’t change our bill because there’s no manager there. This cost us collectively 10 more dollars than expected just for some quick after work drinks. I left my number for a manager to call and get this fixed but have not received anything for over a week now since I went. Very sad, thought I found a great place to enjoy a quick after work drink (near my office) but could never recommend a place with such terrible and...
Read moreWe are regulars here, usually served by Amber (who is fabulous, wonderful spirits, great service, and skilled!) but encountered Katie the bartender for the 5th time or so, and she is horrible! She is rude, she charged more than usual, was upset and claiming she doesn’t know us and snarked that just because we know other servers she doesn’t trust us. Wouldn’t come on a tuesday if she’s working, she will accuse you of stealing and leaving without paying tabs. When we pay our tab the 3-4 days we are here! Very rude and distasteful, ruins the atmosphere. Also heard numerous of complaints about her and wasn’t sure if it was true until today. Came in at 9pm. She also wouldn’t serve us after the encounter at the bar, drinks were empty and never came up to check and ask if we needed a refill. Very very rude and...
