Nolan is the gen manager. He asked me how much accountability "we" took in these screw ups? Read the following to determine that we have taken all accountability for their mistakes. They will not. So 2 of our customers have purchased kitchen cabinets from Menards. The first one was installed by our cabinet guy (35+yrs experience) only to find Menards hadnt ordered flush ends which made the deeper cabs overlap the 15" ones which in turn made the microwave too big. Nolan says too bad that the homeowner now pays for this install, take down, reinstall and installer has to make filler to make this work but its not Menards fault. Also had to paint the crown moulding straight from factory as it came from different lots. In addition the cabinet design folks missed the fridge next to the wall (cant open the french doors with a wall in the way) so a wall was removed. We fixed it not Menards. Still not Menards fault. Next customer-2 kitchens-picked up and didnt get all pcs. but was told they couldnt deliver to make up for their mistake; i would have to spend my time and money to correct their issues. Somehow... Menards didnt allow for the standard 70" (just ask them) height for a fridge. So the cabs that go to the ceiling with large crown moulding doesnt fit. To make it fit it would need smaller mould or a smaller cab. Nolan wont authorize a refund (homeowner moving in next week), he must talk to the designer first to see what transpired when this homeowner came in and purchased 2 kitchens worth of cabinets. I even asked if he thought the homeowner had asked to make the hole for the fridge 69" so her fridge wouldnt fit? Still not Menards issue! We did move the lower cabs up the wall 1" to fit the fridge. The standard is lower cabs 36" from floor, 18" to bottom of uppers then 30" for standard cabs (lower kit was standard) now subtract 15" for the cab over the fridge and you have 69"-not the standard 70". Still not menards fault. He'd have to check. All any customer needs to hear is "We'll make this right." Instead i cant get a refund unless I return the original one. Please refer to the second order first sentence where they missed 3 pcs and would not deliver to the job site yet expect me to return another of their mistakes We are a small contracting company that relies on the word of the businesses we deal with. Needless to say; we will not recommend getting a parking space there let alone any of the products inside this store. Read moreI have never been so disappointed in Menards staff and managers out of Branson MO. We went to Menards to purchase product for another shop building since the first shop building we built went so smoothly and the service was excellent. We ordered our wood, trusses, and metal through Menards only to find out that the trusses would not be delivered for another 20 plus days which would not work for us so we had to go through another manufacturer. After everything was paid for and we started the building process we found out that Menards gave us grade 2 lumber instead of the grade 1 lumber we paid for. Also, we made several phone calls and tried to stay in constant communication with Menards since they made zero attempts to call us for the delivery of our metal which ended up showing up at 7pm at night and they damaged a few pieces trying to remove it off the truck in the dark. We had our framers at our property working who stayed late but they could only stay so late and we ended up having to drive 2 hours to meet the truck with the metal since again zero communication from Menards. We then get a call a few days later that a guy was at our property to deliver trusses which we had cancelled since they could not come in when we needed them too. Again, another miscommunication with Menards but here is the big kicker. Menards not only needed to return our money for the trusses but also for delivery fee and the wrong lumber package. Now keep in mind they would only give us our money back in 2000.00 dollar increments per day, which caused us several trips to Menards even though our check was cleared the very next day. We had several conversations with the Manager at Menards over all of these issues only for him to say oh sorry and basically he didn't care. If I could give this a zero I would and I don't wish this experience on anyone. We as the consumer should not have to do all the footwork (making multiple phone calls since no one was communicating with us on deliveries, multiple trips to get our money back, lack of customer service and empathy of Menards own mistakes). Menards please educate your managers because you lost a lot of money and business on this sale and we won't be back. Read moreOnce my go to place but recently in two different stores, I have been disrespected by the staff. I have a bandana that I put around my neck and arrange it so that it stays out away from my mouth. I have a medical reason for doing this, I even carry a card describing my condition that I can show in case someone asks. During a recent visit to the store in Hollister mo, which by the way has no mask mandate in the city, I was approached by store staff while standing in a isle with my wife and no other guests. I pulled the cover down so I could communicate with my wife about a product, only to be approached by staff who BTW were not social distancing from each other, but very loudly told me pull up my mask. And they didn't even ask if I needed any help with the products or anything. Then as we approached the checkout, another employee charged towards me as I was leaving telling me to keep my mask pulled up. But again, I can't wear one for health reasons. No one ever approached me respectfully or kindly, just loudly ranting. I felt embarrassed and disrespected. I tried to explained my concerns to the last person that came at me but they just smirked and walked behind the counter. Never an apology or have a nice day or hello, just ranting. Menards cares more about how you are dressed than they care about helping you find stuff. I just installed their app as I don't plan on buying anything else from there. I will soon be cancelling my Menards Big Card also. I will be doing all of my ordering and shopping somewhere else from now on. Curtis B. Branson MO.
