I went to Sonic in Hollister, and waited for some time in the drive through before being acknowledged. Once at the window, I was told split payments were not possible. We asked, then, to have our order divided into two orders to make separate payments. Instead, the cashier asked the manager, whom she called Shannon, whether she could take a payment partially in cash and partially on a card. Shannon told her to run the card first and afterward to add cash. Of course this did not work. Everywhere I have ever worked, of one cannot ever am amount to run a card for, then one must enter the cash first and the card would take the rest. We suggested this again, but we're told the card must be run first. So we have a specific number for the card to be run for. The cashier could not do this and ran the card for the whole amount again. Of course this also did not work. Since Shannon had suggested that the cashier run the card before taking cash, we thought perhaps she would know to take cash first and afterward to run the card, if split payments were available. We asked for a manager and Shannon came to the window. She seemed upset to have to come help at the window. We asked for her to enter the cash amount and run the card, and she told us that this was not possible. She can only run the whole amount in the card, or pay the whole amount in cash. I personally ordered the mozzarella sticks and verbally requested the marinara sauce it says it comes with to the nice lady who was taking our order.
All of our food came out, though it took a bit because it was their lunch rush, which is not a problem.
Upon dividing up what everyone had ordered, I discover my sauce was not included.
I hit the red button to request my sauce for a second time and it sat flashing.
10 minutes later, my father-in-law took it upon himself to walk up to the building and request the sauce.
Upon him getting back in the vehicle, an attendant finally answered my page. When I didn't answer the first time, due to my window being rolled up, so, she took it upon herself to scream at me.
We will not be giving this place our business again.
It may seem trivial, but we should not have to request for a sauce to be given, not once, but twice, that says it's included with the item on the menu.

   Read moreWe attended a concert at Thunder Ridge in Ridgedale and on our way home decided to stop at the Hollister Sonic. It was 11:35pm and we went to the patio to order. There were several cars in stalls and one in the drive thru. We pressed the button on the lit up menu and a few minutes later a car hop came out with a tray of food that he was delivering to a stall and stated that the patio menu was not working. A few seconds later the "manager" came out stating that their whole system shut down and they aren't able to take our order. We asked if we could go to the stall and order and he said those quit working as well. We asked if he could just take our order and he said they can't make food either. We got in our cars and left. But before we pulled out of the parking lot, I saw that the drive thru customer had received their order and food and drinks were being brought out to the stalls.
