Every time I come into this store I end up so upset because a staff member comes up to me and freaked out about me kid. He is not even two years old. Iām standing right next to him and heāll stand up to give me a hug and they will yell at me and say my kid needs to sit down and I have told them Iām literally right here with my hands on my own child please heās going to be OK but they will instead of kindly saying we understand itās just our policy they will be rude back and stand there waiting for me to punish my kid for hugging me or something. And no way has my child been misbehaving in the store. he always is just sitting or playing games on my phone. however, every single time I am in the store if he needs my attention, he will stand or ask for me and I stay right by him wherever he is sitting in the cart with one hand on him specifically because I know every time I come in here they freak out about kids standing up in the cart. yet literally as soon as he stands they will literally yell at me across the way about him. It is so upsetting every time I come in because heās not misbehaving at all. He is just a child trying to get a hug or as his mom a question. I understand the need for keeping children safe. I donāt want my own kid to get hurt. I donāt just let him stand in the cart. As his parent I ask him to sit if he stands like a parent who cares for there childās safety does. But clearly these people donāt know what itās like to be a parent. Iām trying to be the best parent I can be to keep him safe and happy. if youāre a parent and youāre taking a toddler out, you know itās already stressful and for someone to criticize you when everything is fine itās really , frustrating it definitely ruins the experience. I didnāt even get two steps in and the cashier said I had 3 minutes until close. Obviously she was just ready to close. I walk down one aisle trying to find a birthday gift real fast and then an automated announcement comes on about closing in 5 minutes. If you have an announcement that plays automatically there is no reason to drill a guest the moment they walk into your establishment, they will obviously get the message that itās time to go once it plays. When the announcement came across the store I began to walk back up front so I made it through the first aisle and then came across a couple of things I almost bought. I chose to not spend my money though, because it was clear my money was no good at your establishment. I didnāt even get all the way up front and a girl (staff member) went to the door to hold it for me like she knew I was leaving. Iām glad I chose not to spend money here as it was clearly shown tonight that your establishment must be booming with sales since you made a huge effort to not get one towards closing time. I have worked in customer service for a long time and itās one thing to help guide a customer through finding something but itās absolutely unacceptable to treat a guest like they were never welcome. My husband shops in here a lot and this was the first time I had ever got the opportunity to walk in. I will promise you that we will never come back here again. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to T-Rex for over a year pretty regularly. I used to love this store but it has changed so very much and not for the good. First of all you used to be able to find really great items in the bins. Now any item that would really get you excited about buying it for bin prices are On the shelves at or near retail with an absolutely no return policy. In the last 60 days I have bought a smart ring $30 did not work, a supposedly new Kobalt 40 volt battery for $50, did not work ih and when i tried to use it in my lawnmower it didn't work but it did BLOW UP in my shop and turn into what could be described as a miniature very angry sun. This lasted for almost a minute in which time i think it melted my concrete. Sooo after this Then as I was checking out the other day the cashier looked at me and said you're going to have to hold on a minute went and got the manager who they both started picking up a bag of three rolls of wire that they put in the bin and when I had the audacity to try to purchase it and the label even said set of wire spools as in plural but the dark haired 30ish manager asked me if I gathered up the spools of wire and put them all in one bag. I just said no and as she looked at me as condescending as a manager of 2 part time people.
