I took 4 pairs of pants into this shop to get hemmed. The owner, Mike, measured the inseam of my husband and said he had an inseam of 29" and that the pants would be ready on Wednesday at 11am. This was giving him a week after time of drop off. Before I picked them up I even gave a few extra hours just in case. When I arrived at the shop, I was told that he had not even touched the pants as of yet but if I wanted to wait on the pants he could have them completed. I thought great because my husband needed them for the next day of work. He went to the back and then a few seconds later came back to the front and asked me what was the inseam measurement I told him that he measured 29". He then proceeded to tell me that I was wrong and that he measured 26". This went on for a few minutes. He then proceeded to hem the pants to his specifications I then came home and my husband tried them on. Some of the pants was too short making them look like high waters on my husband and one pair tone leg is shorter than the other. Need less to say I will not be going back to this place anymore. Mike is an asset to the tailoring profession. Mike has an outstanding work ethic and produces an exemplary product. For many years my wife and I have used Mikes services. Sure, we have shopped around, but Mike is second to none when it comes to prices and completing the job in a timely manner. He has repaired everything for us including a heavy leather jacket, hemming pants, zippers and even my old beat up wallet. I did not know if he could repair my favorite wallet. I have had it for 15 plus years. He stopped what he was doing, retreaded his machine and repaired it on the spot. I fully intended on leaving it with him if he could repair it. In today's world it is very difficult to find quality craftsmanship anywhere, but with Mike it is the rule rather than an exception! I dropped off a quilt to be stitched in multiple places, one place in particular was most important and Mike was more than happy to take it however, he said that it would take a few days... a week later I call and it's still not even started. He says call back in a few more days....I go to pick it up assuming it's finished considering it's been more than a week, and the quilt still hasn't been started. I finally pick it up 2 weeks later (a few days delayed on my part) I get it home and the stitching is coming undone already, and the main part that I needed stitched is it even touched.... not to mention he didn't even take out the safety pins.
