I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone unless you enjoy paying for a service you will have to wait OVER A MONTH to possibly receive. By far THE WORST customer experience I have had with a doctorās office.
I was over charged according to my insurance company the day of my appointment on 8/24 and was told that I would be receiving trial contacts in 2 weeks. I called on 9/5 and 9/13 to ask for my glasses prescription to be sent over and to see if my trial contacts had arrived, each time I was told my prescription would be sent via email shortly and they would get back to me on the trials. The morning of 9/19 I called (being that I had a follow-up appointment to finalize my contract prescription on 9/27) and asked for my glasses prescription AGAIN and this time I was told I need to fill out a form and give them 24 hours to get back to me, I explained my situation and asked to be escalated to a manager because I was never told to fill out a form. After I still had yet to receive any emails with my prescription nor had I received a callback with any update on my trials that afternoon, I called back AGAIN and I was told they had a box of trials come in and mine āmight be in there but [they] havenāt checkedā. At that point I was frustrated and tired of waiting for a service that I never received yet was required to pay for, I requested my money back, my insurance claim to be canceled, and proof in writing that they would contact the insurance and let them know they failed to provide services so I could go elsewhere.
Very quickly after that things were getting looked into and the doctor FINALLY called me back and agreed that a month was far too long to be waiting. She said she could all of a sudden get the prescription and contacts to me or write me check to give me a refund (minus the card fee that they apparently do not receive therefore cannot refund) and although processing with the insurance could take another 2 weeks she would send an email saying it was being worked on that afternoon. I opted in to picking up a refund check and taking my business elsewhere.
We are now at 9/26 and I still have NO EMAILS from them confirming that they were going to cancel the insurance claim, therefore I am still having to wait to book another appointment. I have called 4 times to talk to the doctor - twice I have been told they have taken a message and marked it as urgent, another time the doctor was āon break and she can try to look into it after she was doneā, and another time the doctor was in a consult and I could try to reach out later.

I went to her twice for a diagnosis and had me thinking of possible surgery down the road as I age. She recommended new eyeglasses for intermediate use and had Sheri help me. This lady is a great salesperson, convinced me that the glass frames and lenses she recommended were the best. After paying $601 and waiting 10 weeks, I still had no glasses. When I called the office, no answer. I finally emailed and finally Sheri called me. She kept giving me the run around and I was not satisfied with the glasses once they did come in. I refused possession of the glasses and asked for a refund. After sending another email for a refund, Dr. Bohanas did refund the $601 but now they refuse to answer the insurance company's calls for verification of non-possession of glasses so that I can use my benefit somewhere else. When after seeing another Dr, he confirmed I have a Vitreous Detachment in my left eye not cataracts. (Vision Source) Beware of this place, even though Dr Bohanas is pleasant and professional, her office staff "Sheri" must go and they need to return phone calls to customers. I would recommend Vison Source or America's Best for sure. I called Holistic Eye center because I had horrible eye pain with swelling, draining, and redness. I could not look at light without pain. I called Dr. Melissa Bohonos office and spoke to the a very friendly receptionist who said come right in now. It is the holidays and I was so happy she was able to see me. When I got there I was treated so kind and efficiently from both the receptionist to the Doctor. Dr. Bohonos is so compassionate, smart, and friendly!! She did a full exam and found out my issue.
