This nail salon is perfectly fine if you want simple regular nails but do not ever come here if you want any kind of design or specific look. I brought in a picture of a simple drip design on Long oval nails. I originally wanted just regular nail polish full set acrylics. I showed the girl the picture she quoted me $42 for the nail shape and the design which was a little high in my opinion but I was doing the drip on each nail so it made sense she agreed I agreed. I do want to say that I have not only had this design done at other Salons successfully but I have done it myself at home on family members it's really not that hard of a design. She shapes my nails for the acrylics perfectly fine does a great job I'm not going to complain about that. I open the photo put it down next to her so that she can look at it while she's painting she does the first nail and it's horrible it looks nothing like the photo it's like brush Strokes it's sloppy I'm not happy about it. I try to politely point out the differences in the photos and say hey like this needs to be cleaner lines Etc. She does the next nail it's slightly better but still bad still not like the photo so I say okay is there someone else who can do this design for me. I didn't want to be rude but I am paying good money and this is for an event so if she's not able to it's a struggle for her maybe someone else can. She says to me no it's just because it's it's not gel paint its regular paint so it dries too quickly I can't do the design. Anyone else would do it the same way. She does another nail again slightly better still not like the photo so I'm getting frustrated at this point I pull over the receptionist I ask if there's someone else who can do the design for me I show her the photo I showed her the pinky which is just horrible I show her the design it looks nothing like it she insists again that it's because it's not gel paint so at this point I'm like okay if I upgrade and pay more for the gel paint can you guarantee you can do this design for me. The nail technician is very frustrated at this point and says if you do the gel it can get done but I'm not going to do it for you I've wasted my time. So she starts to speak to the other technicians around me in another language you know letting them know what's going on I'm assuming probably saying some not-so-nice things about me and she pulls over the nail technician next to her and says he can do it for you. I'm like all right so I show him the photo of the design again a simple drip design he precedes to not even try I could see it in his effort there was nothing he just took the nail brush and like blotched it on the tip of my nail I'm not sure if he was also frustrated with me I'm not sure but it was ridiculous it was worse than hers there was just clearly no effort. I know that it was no effort because no professional could be that bad. At this point I'm over it I just want to go home I've wasted $50 so I say okay just do a French nail so he does the French nail for me and says it's going to be an extra $8. I did not pay the extra $8 because I was quoted for the original design which did not happen and I would not have upgraded to gel if they had not promised me they could do my simple design if I paid more for a gel. I don't understand a professional nail technician not being honest about their skill level. If you're unable to do a design just tell me up front and I can pick something simpler. Needless to say I will never be coming back here Not only was the customer service bad but their technicians cannot even do simple designs with an actual photo reference. I made an appointment for my mom and I to get a pedicure and to get our eyebrows done. They took us right away and told us to pick a color before we sat. They have a huge selection so we’re looking and it’s like they were rushing us to pick a color, usually they give us the keychain of colors so, finally after like 1 min of looking at the colors they gave us the keychain and told us to go sit. We got the basic pedicure which is $29 not a big deal and I don’t expect much but man did they hurry through it and I kinda wanted a design so it didn’t look so basic (I knew it would be extra) so when I asked him if I could do a specific design he said yes to one which was an easy one then I found one that was a bit cuter and he said no when I asked why he made up some excuse that the colors wouldn’t blend right (it was the same color I had requested before) so I told him oh wow never heard that before and he didn’t say anything. Then I decided to do a silver glitter fade and he said ok. Instead of having a cute fade like I showed him the pic he kinda just globbed it at the base of my toe. Anyways kinda disappointing because I used to really love this place and I’ve been going there since they were at the location Nextdoor. It really seems like they just wanna rush through and get their tip and move on to the next person. Over the years, I’ve had my nails done by Macy and Martin. No complaints. In fact, They were my reasons of returning. After they’re departure from the company, it wasn’t the same. I had my nails done twice since. The first one my nails broke in two days because it poorly built (thin acrylic). But yesterday experience, is the WORST! I had my pedi and mani done by Susan. In the front of Susan, I’ve asked the gentleman in the front I wanted a gel full set mani and regular pedi. I’ve repeatedly said it with her reassurance of understanding.
I was distracted by a phone call that I wasn’t paying attention when she was doing my pedi. I was shocked by the total bill. When I asked why, I was told by the gentleman that Susan said I wanted to gel pedi. She walked up to us raising her voice insisting I did when I know I haven’t. She got mad, slammed the pen, and with an attitude asked me to come in the back she will remove the gel. I had no problem because I love the massage chairs. When we went in the back she spoke loudly to her colleagues about me and the situation, everyone was staring at me as she continued to speak in their language. I was embarrassed. She continued to bashed me. And of course, I told her “you can’t try fix your mistake and speak of me”. She then “accidentally” stick my toe. I walked in the front paid and told the gentleman (btw his name is Cam), I won’t be returning.
