About 7 months ago I started to have really bad pains in my back and side to the point I found myself in the emergency room 3 times and at the doctors almost every week. After numerous of test and EVERY doctor that saw providing me with medication - a roller coaster I was not going to get on, my doctor was pushing me to have back surgery. I refused but agreed to a epidural shot for pain - 3 days after that shot I collapsed in the bank and could hardly walk, I think the shot damaged a nerve in my body.

I had to stop working, and of course my doctor pushed harder for the operation. After that shot there was no way I was going to do that - the trust was gone since I am 65 and NEVER been sick in my life. I did some research and realized that most pain and many sickness is due to inflammation in the body .

I left Atlanta and moved to Hollywood Beach to HEAL myself. Searching for a place online to start my healing I found Zivel - Hollywood and the owner Michelle Chalem. After a call she invited me to come to the spa. Located in small community shopping area with LOTS of parking, you are immediately struck by her welcoming warm and kind smile. The center is not clean ... its SPOTLESS! It's organized and as close to perfect as one can get. The center has a stocked coffee and tea area with snacks and bottles of cold water.

She did not give me a sales pitch to join, it was like being welcomed into someone's home as she walked me thru and explained the services, treatments and how best to use them to fit your recovery - I had seen professional athletes using these treatments after a game to recover from pain after a game. I tried the infer-red sauna, redlight therapy, the floating table, a cryotherapy tank that day and when I completed my ''tour'' I knew I was in the right place and care.

Well its been less than 2 week, going almost everyday and I have to tell you, my pain is a lot less, I can stand straight where before I was slightly hunched over and today the concierge in my building said '' Ms. you are walking better''!

You book your treatment online and due to management to the perfection you go in and do your treatments assisted by an AMAZING staff without missing a beat, they have everything ready for you when you arrive! So in closing let me say this... if you are having pain, play sports or you are ready to start your journey to a more healthy lifestyle especially to lose weight, yes I lost a couple of pounds too! Zivel-Hollywood is where you want to begin.

This is not five star it’s TEN star. To begin with the staff including the owner treat you like family. I felt like they went above and beyond for me. With that being said the services are awesome. I was terrified of doing the cryotherapy but Michelle walked me thru it explained everything and even waited to make sure I did not freak out in the cold room. The staff explained the benefit of each service which helped me decide what I service I would do that day and the best order to maximize the benefit. I can’t recommend Zivel enough. I signed up for the monthly membership on the spot and I am booked for something almost daily. Try it… you won’t regret it. Fabulous...
