The first time I went to the salon was for Mother’s Day and it was absolutely incredible. It was impeccably clean service was amazing. They brought me over a bottle of water and the attention to detail was the absolute best. Today I went back and I brought my daughter for a pedicure, and I’ve never felt so rushed in my life. I sat down at the chair and there was a bottle of Water from the person before me. I moved it to put my water down (gross). The girl was so rushed. I’ve never felt like I’ve bothered somebody so much in my life. When I put my feet in the water wasn’t bubbling. She went to the sink and took out an attachment, rinsed off quickly shook it and then attached it to the inside of the foot bath to create the bubbles (clearly not washed, gross)x My Scrub and nail trimming was done before the lady next to me who was there before me and my 8 year old daughter on the other side. My 8 year olds mini pedicure was also way more detail oriented. Sandy then set the timer for five minute massage and then proceeded to look for the oil and the lotion. Got up, sat back down and pointed to the timer and said “five minute massage” ... at that point it was four minutes and 5 seconds left and I laughed and said that it actually wasn’t five minutes she rolled her eyes and started talking about me in another language to the girl next to her. The massage barely touched my legs as she watched the tv above my head. I could not feel it at all and then at the end they took the hot stones out. She rubbed the stones on my legs, one time up one time down and put them away. She quickly painted my nails and finished to gestured for me to the front. My entire pedicure was about 20 minutes. I need to get my eyebrows waxed and I need to go find somewhere else to go because she was too busy for that. I’m so disgusted and disappointed because I thought I had found a gem and I clearly have not. I’m going to go to the place around the corner who does exquisite pedicures. Im not mad, just really disappointed because its not a cheap place and they had potential to be the best around, we drove 18 minutes...
Read moreMy go-to salon was closed today and I’ve been need a fill BAD. I’ve also wanted to try another salon because I moved to Holmdel from Aberdeen and I’m surrounded by nail salons that I was curious if there’s was something right next to me that was good. I was definitely nervous going to a new place, but I found Holmdel Nails was recommended in a Facebook group I’m in by a few ladies, so I took the chance.
Upon walking in, the place is gorgeous! They have literally every color you could think of because the walls are covered in nail polish! They took me right back and I had a spa pedicure. I wish I could remember her name for the review but she was amazing. I get ingrown nails and she did an excellent job of cutting everything out. The best part (as always) is the massage and unlike in other salons, they actually use a timer so you’re truly getting a 10-min massage. She did a great job and the chairs are wonderful as well. They offer free WiFi - the password is on the info card next to you.
Moving on to the manicure. Again, the tech did an excellent job as you can see. I got an ombré design (20$) which I thought was a little pricey for the design but you get what you pay for. She didn’t thin out my nails when using the drill. She was able to recreate a picture. I initially said white because I thought the base color was white and she recommended a different shade to ensure I was happy with the result.
Front desk staff are really nice as well. Bring cash - you’ll pay a little less! They do have an ATM but it wasn’t the easiest to work with.
I already recommended the place to my best friend and I will definitely be going to this nail salon from now on. They have convenient hours, plenty of parking, and excellent service. Just be willing to pay a bit more than some other salons in the area; they are...
Read moreThis nail salon is probably the rudest staff I’ve personally ever experienced. I made an appointment with Joanne last Wednesday for a gel fill, my first appointment at this location. Joanne did a nice job on the Nails even though the pointer finger she went rogue and did a design I did not ask for, reluctant to say anything I paid my hundred dollars for my nails and left. The next day not even 24 hours later I called and asked if there was anyway I could come in for her to change the design. Upon my arrival I was swarmed by three front desk girls that all “needed to look at my nails”who then proceeded to sit behind the desk and clearly talk about me and my nails giggling and lookin at me. Joanne then brought me back and claimed that she “would have to charge me if I did a different design…” Even though I came there to change the specific design. She ended up changing the design with no charge which I appreciated very much I left happier than when I came. Today four days later I have a crack down the middle of my pointer finger. I called this morning to ask if there was anyone that could repair the nail for me and I was told “not until later today” the customer service here is absolutely awful. I will not be returning. On top of this I called this afternoon to speak to a manager over the phone hoping that maybe we could come to a resolution. The girl who answered the phone was extremely rude and nasty asking me “what is this about though… “She then told me that the manager wasn’t there so I asked when the manager would be back she was reluctant to say so. I do not recommend going here unless you wanna pay an absurd amount for Nails that do not last an awful...
