Very underwhelming experience.

Got seated right away around 12pm. Nice decor, good music. That's about where the good ends.

Nobody came to our table to provide water or take our order. Every time a waiter/waitress ran by they avoided eye contact - it took us 15 minutes to grab someone's attention and by that point I was ready to walk out. The waitress said something along the lines of "oh I don't have your table but I will take your order I guess." Thank you for your time. I'm looking for a quick brunch here, not a 2 hour sit down service.

We ordered 2 waters, a coke, and a coffee as well as a Greek omelette and a Reuben. Coffee and Coke came right away, got dropped off and waitress disappeared for 10 more minutes without bringing water.

Food came with the water after about 40 minutes since we had been seated.

Omelette was okay, came with a Greek salad on the side, nice sized portion and tasted good.

Reuben was two tiny almost paper thin slices of pastrami, a little bit of sauerkraut and a small smear of Russian dressing. It was honestly one of the saddest looking sandwiches I have ever seen. I really should have provided a picture but I was so over this meal that I just wanted to eat and leave.

$40.00 total, including tip (plus a surcharge for using my DEBIT card) for a truly lackluster meal and poor service. Go to the New Monmouth Diner for better quality food and half the price. This meal didn't go over easy...

I never had an issue with the food at this restaurant until just recently. Unfortunately, I ordered a salad that had a hair inside the avocado. Yes, I understand accidents like this happen and I would not voice my concern, but then my mother received a water that was in a filthy glass. She drank almost thing before we could notice that the inside was caked with brown filth. At first we did not see any dirt because the outside of the clear mason jar was foggy from the ice, but once it cleared we could see that the whole inside of the cup was covered with sticky brown spots. Again, something that could happen, but with COVID going on, it should have been something that was not missed. If these two things happened to us in the matter of 10 minutes that makes me concerned about what is going on in the kitchen! The waitress was very apologetic and replaced the salad. We asked this to be brought up to the owner just so that this wouldn’t happen to anyone else. They compensated us for our coffees because of every that happened, which was not what we were looking for. The owner never came up to us to apologize. Instead he sat at the countertop and said nothing. Almost as if this is something of normalcy that happens often. If they were to show more concern, I wouldn’t be here writing this review. Word to the wise, if you eat there, check your food and drinks...

This place started off hot and now it’s just not. There’s literally 2 good servers in the whole restaurant. Kristen and Laura. Not saying the rest aren’t good, but most likely aren’t trained good enough. When the owner/owners aren’t there it’s literally children running the restaurant. My wife and I went from going every weekend to now not wanting to go at all. Today was our last visit for a long time. We showed up, the place was half empty, were a party of 2 so we weren’t “allowed” to sit at any table that can seat more than 2 people. All the tables for 2 were dirty. The bus boys were either busy or nowhere in sight. We were offered the counter or farm table. We didn’t want either but chose the counter over the weird setting of the farm table. Service was sub par. But I think the waitress was honestly just overwhelmed. They had 4 kids there/ children really answering the phone doing seating and take out orders. But basically standing around while the wait staff ran there butts off with no direction. We won’t be coming back for a long time. Frankie, get it together buddy, I tried messaging you personally to no avail. I understand there are other locations opening but that doesn’t mean neglect the rest. At this point this has become a hit or miss spot, food is good. Service...
