This review is for the Holmdel Commons Crumbl. All crumbl cookie locations taste the same, however the size that they bake in this location is considerably smaller than any other location I’ve been to. If you look at the picture, there’s an awful lot of white space. Also the pink donut cookie doesn’t have the frosting that is shown in the picture on the website or the display cookie at the Holmdel location. The frosting was less than what was shown in my picture. When they first brought out the box there was hardly any pink frosting at all. What is shown is after complaining and they went and they put some more on, but still not what was shown on the sample cookies. The display cookies were larger than the cookies we were given. I also visit the south shore Staten Island location which is near my job and the Manalapan location. The cookies are ALWAYS edge to edge in all directions. The cookies are touching each other and the box on both sides (as what is intended to be from the sample cookies and the website photos.) I believe this location was instructed to make the cookies about 20% smaller to increase profits by reducing ingredient costs per cookie (both dough and frosting).

Note: Last time I ordered from Holmdel it was the same small size. Last time I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured it was a one time occurrence But after getting the same result which are almost mini cookie size I felt I had to leave this review. Next time I order a 4 pack of crumbl it will be from one of the other locations and I will add another photo to show the difference in size from other locations to the...

Predictably OK cookies, for a shop that specializes in cookies. shrug. I wish they would concentrate on their cookies, and not the toppings. I don't actually want a cookie that is 50% commercial candy (M&Ms, Nerds, Tootsie roll, Butterfingers, etc). The bits of the cookie I could taste by themselves were quite good, especially the peanut butter and the strawberry/lime cookie. I just didn't need all the candy on top of them. I do like the soft, undercooked nature of the dough personally. I've always preferred a squishy cookie to a crunchy one, personally.

The shop was well lit, and the staff was very courteous and peppy. I just hope they survive the internet sensation and make it back to fun and tasty simple cookies, without all the unnecessary toppings.

We got one of each of the 6 varieties available, and I think i only actually enjoyed one of them. The rest were just too overwhelming to be a cookie. (And, mind you, we divided them into fourths, so I'm talking about a quarter of a cookie.)

But since my understanding is that they change their cookies every week, you can't even find one or two that you really like and focus on that one.

I'd like to see the following changes: Fewer candy toppings "Standard" cookies in addition to the specials of the week Pre-cut portioned cookies so I didn't have to take my knife to them or buy their plastic "quarterizer".

Anyway, try them and see what you think.

my friends and i placed an order online and we obviously press im here when we park then walk in. it’s pretty busy so we stand by the pick up line and the girl giving out the orders is doing her job calling out the orders.. no big deal. however when you see people walk in, you usually ask what name they’re picking up for (i used to work in to go at a restaurant it’s a basic task in your job) after about 10 orders the get called, mind you the girl is obviously looking at us but not saying anything then walking to the back. The Cashier taking in store orders finally isn’t busy so we ask her for help. it then takes 4 people to find our order that was sitting on the table as these girls were walking past it and then we get asked what the name we were picking up and she said she sent it out already when it was sitting behind her. we gave them a really good tip too because we understand these struggles however to be ignored after you call out 10 different orders...

I was excited to try Crumbl Cookies as I love cookies fresh out the oven. The cookies look beautiful, and they come in pretty pink boxes. I purchased the chocolate chip cookie and a sugar cookie with lemon icing. Both of the cookies tasted bland to me. The chocolate chips weren't melty at all. You couldn't even taste the milk chocolate in the chocolate chips. The chocolate chip cookie was disappointing. The sugar cookie was much better, but still overall ok. It was good, but not great. The cookies tasted underbaked. They were decent, but not amazing. I'd come back and give this place another shot.
