Firstly it’s never the waitresses fault. It is always however the mangers job to be aware of things they are out of and notify their staff and the staff themselves should communicate better. We ordered two coffees, one was simple and easy just a cold brew coffee. The second one was a salted caramel mocha chino. We ordered everything, the drinks well before we ordered food. Got our food had no silver wear. The runner didn’t even stay for a second to make sure we had any silverware. So we sat there for a while without our drinks and our food sitting there waiting for someone to come back. Listen I’ve been going to turning point since the first store opened. It’s a great food normally great service even if delayed everything normally comes out in order and they arnt normally out of things. This is a Saturday morning! Beginning of their weekend they should not be out of hot chocolate, or stuff to make a Carmel drink during prob their busiest time being as it’s the holiday season and a weekend. We then ate our food for 15 mins and we were already full and finally one of our drinks arrive and they proceeed to say the other drink is not available, had they had said that before when we placed the drink order I would’ve gotten something simpler. Regualrdless a cold brew should be a simple pour over ice and back to the table. I’ve worked in restaurants most of my life so I totally am understanding. Still tipped our waitress at 20% and were kind. Youre breakfast place, is where I always recommend people to go and now this is how they’re starting off winter season. Another issue I had was we were two people and they had a two top sitting there for 20-25 mins that wasn’t flipped, and it shoulve been. Instead they double sat a waitress with us and another set of two and two four top tables. They easily could’ve cleared that two top and the other four top in two different areas and seated us separately instead of bombarding a waitress. They also didn’t have any clean glasses or silverware ready so both us and the other table had to wait for glasses water and silverware. The other table also didn’t receive their hot drinks because they got their food like us, and they said our drinks would be out shortly and they obviously were not. Then came back to tell the other table they were out of hot chocolate, then came over and told us we were still waiting. Then proceeded to go back to the other table and told them sorry we also don’t have your other drink, all this while we’re still waiting for our simple iced coffee and my drink with our food and their food almost done. The manager did come over and apologize and took off our drinks. End of they day, they need a better system for communication from barista to servers and the manger in general. Sorry if I sound harsh. If they had communicated with themselves and us better, or flipped tables that were clearly cleared off and ready to be seated, all this and the drink situation would’ve been simpler and the whole experience could’ve been quicker and...
Read moreI have been coming here for years since I work within walking distance and live in the area for close to twenty years. I visited today with my two young daughters and the service was a disaster. I ordered soup with my lunch which never came, I dont think she even placed the order because it was never on my bill. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate which she totally forgot about it and included it on the bill until I spoke up. She forgot to getvit when it was made. My other daughter ordered chocolate chip pancakes...no butter, no syrup..and no chocolate chips!...when she brought the pancakes she said she would bring out the chocolate chips..she never did. It was one of if not the worst experiences in regards to service I have ever experienced in any restaurant. There was no one but young adults manning the restaurant. I also overheard the the waitress forgetting bringing something else to the table behind us. As I said I've been coming to Turning Point in Holmdel for years..my mother comes from Staten Island and usually it is her first choice for lunch/brunch..but I'm not coming back. I think management/ownership needs to be more involved because when you receive service like this..it needs to...
Read moreso i’ve been wanting to come here for a long while since ive heard so many good things. I took my mother out to eat this morning and when i got there and asked our waitress what her what was better the chicken and waffles or the chicken pesto panini sandwich we came to the decision of chicken and waffles & i regret it. unfortunately, the only good thing about our breakfast was the juices they made, we ordered two out of the three they had on the menu & like i said very nice and different i liked them a lot. SO we order the chicken and waffles, cinnamon rolls for the table and the quinoa bowl. The cinnamon rolls were barely warm, something we could overlook. when the food came to the table. My chicken and waffles came with this Sriracha hot sauce i asked for that on the side instead of on top, i never got that & then the lady said she’ll bring out the syrup she never did, so I had waffle that was very basic and three very regular chicken tenders on top. For the most expensive thing we got, it was the most basic taste ever. i took a bit and was not pleased at all. My mom did enjoy her quinoa bowl so at least she had a better experience. for some place so talked about it didn’t enjoy much at all!...
