Jacobsen’s Mall — Local services in Homestead

I was driving to another thrift store when I spotted Jacobsen's Mall, and I stopped in to check in out. The store is really well maintained, and very clean. This is not a "dig around past 90s McDonald's toys and 2016 era clothes thrown in a pile" kind of store! The store has the best selection of unique and interesting jewelry that is very affordable! Everything is priced clearly, and displayed nicely. The prices are very fair, and a lot of it was very cute! The beaded bag/clutch selection is to die for, and when I have my next formal event I'm snatching up that adorable vintage white beaded rose bag!

I also have to shout out Gina and Linda for their amazing customer service. They greeted me as I entered the store, made sure to answer all my questions, and were genuinely very pleasant to speak to (sometimes a rare find in South Florida!). I will definitely...

I was very excited to purchase some art pieces until I saw how the staff treated guests. As I was browsing through the store a gentlemen of a darker complexion came in asking for a job application. I then saw an older woman with glasses approach him with a hostile tone stating that they weren’t hiring nor had applications. Once the gentlemen had left the same lady proceeded to talk about the gentlemen in a very off putting way. When she finally realized that I was standing there she completely changed her tone and said “I didn’t know we had guests while the trash came in” with a smirk and proceeded to ask if I needed any help. Greeted by three ladies working in the front. They were having a heated argument about getting into their eBay account. The youngest was snippy and disrespectful to the two older employees who were looking to give suggestions. The toxic work environment came off like a cringy episode of the Golden Girls. The negative comments continued on other topics during our time there. The other ladies were sweet and constantly getting berated by the younger.
