My husband took me and my kids to eat there on Sunday May 12, 2024 and it was empty, there were just two guys in the restaurant(which were very drunk already). We started to order and right from the beginning the menus didn’t have any prices in the food so you don’t even know how much you are going to be paying for the things you are ordering and it does not even say how many of each the order brings. I ordered some flautas(which were 4 hard tacos filled with chicken) in which the chicken inside was very fried that it was coming out of the taco ever time I took a bite, I ended up eating only 1 and left the rest. My kids ordered quesadillas (2) and steak tacos(5) which the steak tacos tortilla look very old already and the steak had these light brown looking things on them(which I told my daughters not to eat them anymore). The reason was that were we sat we could see straight into the kitchen and they had a big trash bin next to the fallen door that was held by 1 nail at the bottom, well back to the trash bin full of flys(yuck🤢)! Me and my husband ordered a cocktail shrimp to share and it was not even cold! it was warm to the touch so we did not eat it. The 2 men in the restaurant that were intoxicated, already kept ordering more beers, and they would keep serving them, they made me and my daughter feel uncomfortable, because they kept looking straight at our table. The sauces that they had by the door for the customers to put on their tacos were not even kept in a cool temperature, but just out and they felt very warm. I asked for the check and when that lady told us $98 I just couldn’t believe that we were paying $98 for food that was old and not edible. Definitely do not recommend this restaurant. Most people say it’s good. I don’t know what they say is good but the food and service was bad. For them just to have the 2 men in the restaurant and us they should have made the food correctly cooked and not given us old left over food because that’s what it look like they gave us to eat leftovers and they just re-fried everything! This restaurant is not...

food is authentic mexican, i mean like super authentic. as a non-mexican hispanic i had to ask alot of questions to make sure i didn't get menudo like stuff...

food was great but this place looks dumpy. i can understand spartan decor but it looks like someone went buck wild with a bucket of yellow paint in there. the tile falling off the walls and red/yellow paint fight dont exude much confidence in whats going on behind the scenes.

the other messed up thing... wait staff gets screwed out of tips on credit card purchases. found this out when i went to pay and there was no means to tip the waitress in CC purchase. expect service here to suffer from lack of financial motivation.

finally, menu has no prices. thats a HUGE red flag folks. that in itself will keep me from returning here. not playing that random price game. i want to see what...

This is a very good change compared to the old diner that used to be here. Now they serve flavorful Mexican food. This restaurant has indoor seating along with outdoor tables and outdoor bar seating. Personally i prefer their burritos which are cooked to order and are packed with flavor. The prices for the menu items in my opinion are average at about $13 for a burrito with no changes. Parking is somewhat limited as i believe there are only about 15 spots roughly. This is a great spot for lunch and dinner if you are looking for good fast service. This is just before the downtown homestead area. Give it a try. PS make sure you speak spanish or bring someone that does. If not you may have some difficulty...

I was in town looking for something to eat and among the many Mexican restaurants is El Gran Taco Loco. The building stood out from the rest and I'm happy I stopped in to give them a try. I eat tacos everywhere I go and the tacos here are excellent 👌. The agua fresca are very good also. I had the Melon and Limonada. For food I went with the Quesabirria which comes loaded with cheese and is paired with a delicious dipping sauce. For the tacos I had to go with the Al Pastor. Served with a Jalapeno for that extra kick! I'll be back next time I'm down in Homestead.

I was looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant because I had a craving for nachos. I arrived today, August 15, 2024, around 1:30 p.m., and ordered nachos from this restaurant. I informed the waitress that I wanted my order to go. I was in a hurry when I received my order, so I did not double-check it and trusted the restaurant. When I got home, I checked my nachos and there was no meat, cheese, or anything. I spent $20 on this and it was a waste of money.

Wanted very badly to like it. Looks appetizing. However, it was taste less. Disappointed. They did a great job of revamping the location, loved the outside seating. But the tortillas were not real fresh tortillas, the meat (I got lengua and tripas) was dry and had no seasoning. Very very disappointing. They would do well if they got the basics right. With all the other Mexican spots in town, this one pales in comparison.
