Where do I start… This place is terrible. The owners daughter works here and went off on me today for asking about the price of my hairstyle when I was originally quoted around $135. They said their prices have went up on the 5th of July. 2 months ago, they said their prices went up also. They were trying to charge me $160 or possibly higher for an all over dirty blonde color. They know the thickness of my hair, they keep a profile on clients hair and I’ve been coming here for a couple of years but with a different stylist. They used one batch of dye on half of my hair and then claimed it took 2 extra batch’s on the other symmetrical side. It is a sneaky tactic. My hair was light brown. The stylist I had kept talking about the price and how she’ll give me a free haircut to help stay in my estimated price range, I said “thank you”.The owners daughter/stylist next to us said something entirely rude about me bringing up the price quite often… I was sitting there getting my hair colored with my eyes shut. I told her “what are you taking about”. The owners daughter made the excuse “I’m pregnant”, I responded “I don’t care if you’re pregnant, that doesn’t entitle you to treat your customers bad”. She replied “everybody is entitled to something”. She acted just like a child and thought her pregnancy was a right to be rude to another stylists client. Absolutely disgusting service. Another response the owners daughter said is “I’m the owners daughter” after I asked her name. I did tell her “I don’t care who you are”. I do not go around treating people like that. If she continues, I promise you this place won’t last. She will chase everyone away and think she gets rights or something to be rude. When my stylist left this place, I should’ve left too instead I had hope to find another stylist here. There’s a reason my stylist left. They can’t keep most of the same stylists. I’m sure I have an idea why… and I will be spreading the news on my experience here. Along with their price hikes they sneak in multiple times claiming inflation every couple of months. I refused to talk on the phone to the owner/mother of girl, they kept insisting and I told them I refuse for obvious reasons, they got mad and kicked me out the salon with unfinished hair they literally rinsed the dye out of my hair and sent me off with very brassy hair. I was actually in a very calm and collective mood after dealing with her. People who treat people like how I got treated today, won’t do well in life. Unacceptable behaviour, regardless if you’re pregnant and the owners daughter, does NOT mean you get to be rude to clients and say snarky remarks. Very unprofessional and I’m very proud of myself for keeping my cool after this. She’ll get the wrong one, one day. Be VERY cautious here for the sneaky price hikes and the insane pregnant/owners daughter who believes she has multiple reasons to be so verbally rude to people cause her mommy owns the shop. High risks from “hot heads” who send clients off with brassy...
Read moreAbsolutely horrible experience. I was new to the area and searched tons of salons online to find someone that would work for me. I saw the reviews and decided to take a chance. I have long dirty blonde hair and like to add highlights every now and then so I called and very specifically told the receptionist what I wanted (Blonde balayage with a lob style haircut). I emphasized that I didn't mind paying more if it meant I got a more experienced stylist and I was not in a rush to get an appointment because I understand stylist book out. I was reassured that everyone there is talented and can do what I was asking for. I get to my appointment and my stylist was so rude and barely looked at the picture I had shown her of MY OWN hair in the same exact style I was asking for from 2 years ago. When I tell you this woman was so aggressive with my hair and I am not tender headed by any means. She ripped so much of my hair out when brushing and styling to the point I was crying in her chair, whatever bleach she used on me was burning my scalp, and when I pointed out that I was unhappy with the skunk strips she left me with she told me that it will blend out better as my natural hair lightens with the warmer weather. I was so horrified that I had to find a new salon to go to the following week to have someone try to fix the mess she made without losing the rest of the little hair I had left on my head. Do your research ladies, the quality of service I received was less than the $20 hair appointments you get from the local school students just...
Read moreI am a veteran and military spouse and it can be very lonely moving a lot. Since moving to Ft. Liberty area, I look so forward to going to Hot Headz Hair Salon for not just the services but also the friendly and kind staff members. Lexi is my hairstylist and she is so friendly, talented, knowledgeable and kind. She does an amazing job and we have such enjoyable conversation. Lexi has done a balayage, hair trims and styling services for me and I’ve been 100% satisfied. I told the staff at my last appointment how much I wanted to learn how to French braid. Madeline, one of the stylists, went way above and beyond and hooked me up with a way to practice braiding until my next appointment. Madeline was friendly, encouraging and I could not believe her willingness to help me. Cassandra, another stylist, went above and beyond as well to show me the basics of French braiding and she was so approachable, funny and professional it was very refreshing! Hailey, the front desk associate, was so kind, friendly and she has a great sense of humor. All these women make for such a welcoming and enjoyable environment. Thank you all for your kindness and talents. Your salon has been a blessing for me and I feel just a little less homesick (for my home state) just knowing there are kind people like you in this area. 5 out 5 stars for talent, professionalism, kindnesses, and willingness to make the customer feel appreciated. PS: the prices are amazing and incredibly reasonable for the...
