Ok where do I start, well, I called to place two orders of sushi. When we arrived (my son and I), the floor was very slippery and wet floor sign was barely visible (instead of having it where people can see it when coming in). We went to the register to pay for the food and the guy at the register, called on another male employee located in the kitchen. Both men looked at me, the latter guy said something and left, I told the guy at the register "I know what you are doing, you are calling him so he can look at me, rate me or to see if he thinks if I'm pretty or not". "I am aware of your little game; I used to work with guys and they would do the same thing". My 11 year- old son witnessed it all. The expression of the guy at the register completely changed and he said: "You got me", I expressed my dusgust towards his unwelcomed attitude. I was very upset and the worst is that the woman witnessing and laughing at the entire situation, with them, seemed to be the owner or a manager of the place. It's sad when you go to a place, and feel that you are being harrased by people in this case men who are rating you. It is worse when you are with a child. I bet if my husband would have been there, it would have been a totally different story and outcome; they wouldn't be doing all that and the sushi was nasty, oh so nasty!!! I'm sure glad that we won't be going back to such a substandard establishment. (Ok I read your respond, since I can't reply here we go, with all do respect what you wrote about the event that happen that day, are not truth you weren't there. How are you going to make an excuse for your employees? You should've said something like "my apologies it won't happen again, I will talk to them", but making excuse and saying something that didn't even happen, and worst you weren't there, it's pathetic, now I understand why your employees are the...
Read moreFood- maybe a 2...got a bento box which btw is almost $20. Veggies came out cold, like room temperature. Steak and rice were ok. sushi was the highlight. I touched the tempura mushroom and it oozed grease, an actual puddle on the plate. The food came out at 3 separate times...Besides that I'm confused on where the "box" is... I didn't spend $20 to eat hot, greasy food on a styrofoam plate...hot, fried food and styrofoam don't mix. Now, to my favorite part...the front girl...walk up and she has this I hate my life look on her face, not rude but you can tell she isn't happy. Hiding under the front counter every chance she gets on her phone. I personally had no real issue with her except she come to my table 3 times with food...but not once with glass of water I asked for. I turn around to try to get it, she is almost laying across the rice steamer texting, not even realizing I was at the counter for a solid 2 min until the cook told her. The issue comes with this...gentlemen came in after grabbing his order, realizing he had not recieved forks...as he is walking out she says something to him, he responds to the effect that forks would b good with a rice bowl...he leaves...now the girl is standing behind the glass, complaining to the cooks about how he didn't need forks for a bowl, why cant he just use what she gave him, cussing and so on to the point everyone eating could hear her. Seriously unprofessional, I'm seeing on here multiple complaints about her but she is still employed? how is this possible? Well, you won't be seeing me again or anyone else I recommend people to go until she is gone and the...
Read moreI have been a long time customer of Ichiban Express, and enjoy their food, with that being said, I must relate my recent experience with them. I had stopped in Tuesday, March 26, 2019 around 6/6:30, they were very busy. I ordered my regular order, 4 teriyaki chicken, fried rice & veggies entree, received my order, and went home. Had 1 Tuesday, and Wednesday. Thursday, I gave 1 to my neighbor, for her & her hubby, & went home to reheat mine. When I opened my dinner, there was NO chicken included! I wasn't really upset, most times I give most of the chicken to my grandson or the dog...I prefer the rice & veggies. I decided to call and let them know that a mistake was made though. I called, the guy who waited on me answered and I explained what had happened...he hung up on me!! So, of course, I called back, it rang, and rang, and rang..finally a girl answered, I explained who I was & before I even got done telling her, she yelled that they make NO mistakes, plates NEVER leave the store without chicken and that I was lying!! OK, now I'm angry!! I didn't ask for a free dish, I didn't ask for a refund, I was merely alerting them to the fact that a mistake was made, & I'm accused of lying over some chicken!! I am posting this to let everyone know that this is how loyal, valuable customers are dealt with if there is a problem!! Buyer Beware!! I will be getting in touch with the manager...
