China Wok — Restaurant in Hope Mills

I was just in there this evening, and was not impressed in the slightest. I ordered orange chicken with fried rice, my husband ordered shrimp fried rice and an order of crab Rangoon. We got our Rangoon first, which were more breading than anything. We then were served our food, the Orange chicken wasn't bad, but the rice was old and the contents of "fried" rice was onions and rice only... We weren't going to complain until we had come down to our last 2 Rangoon. We had been eating the bottoms not to eat all the excess breading, but the last 2 had no contents at all. My husband went to show this to the workers( opening up the food) the lady spreads it apart farther and says, that's the way it's made.... My husband then says i don't want these. She then proceeds to just throw them away and take another order, so my husband waits for her to finish and asks what she's going to do about the Rangoon. She said "you didn't like" he says well you dug your fingers in my food, etc. And so forth. Got mad that we asked her to replace. Long story short, worst chinese I've had in Fayetteville/hope mills area. Don't...

I visit this location a day ago. I ordered the Shrimp Egg Foo Young, with Shrimp fried rice (rather than white rice..$5 extra) and one egg roll. Total $21.87 tax included. Not bad really. Got home and unpack my food. Let's start with the shrimp fried rice, which contain FOUR, I repeat 4 shrimp. The rice did not taste freshy made at all. Rice is not suppose to be hard! Three Egg Foo Young pattie, two look old and burned, one was just uncook. The two that was old and burned on the bottom had three shrimps and the uncook one had two shrimps in it. The gravy was in another container was very runny or watered down. It DID NOT smell or taste like gravy at all. I would have been much better off going across the street to China Buffet & Hibachi. This China Wok location has really gone down hill in the last year. The food used to be pretty good. This was my last visit to this...

I went to China Wok for the first time today acting on the reviews. Evidently no one has ever tasted excellent Chinese food. The rating was a 4.4 out of 5 with over a few hundred responses. I have had some great Chinese food here in Fayetteville before at a placed named New China Restaurant on Raeford Rd. And although it is now closed, that is what I do my rating by. I was disappointed today with China wok's food. I don't think I will go back anytime soon. The pork fried rice had a cardboard taste and no other seasonings.the beef lo-mein was ok but not all that... I really wished I could give a better rating however if I would do this it would just misleading. Don't take my word as gospel. Try it...
