La Cocina Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in North Carolina

I am saddened to say that after tonight's experience I will NEVER step foot in this establishment again. Up until now myself and my kids were regular customers spending anywhere from $100 - $200 per month but after today NEVER again.

I went in and placed $109 order. That order included Steak Ranchero.. When I got home my order had tomatoes and green peppers on top of everything. I am deteat green peppers and I am allergic to tomatoes. I called and apparently they changed the way they prepared Steak Ranchero. No problem, I called and they agreed to replace the meal. I asked if they wanted me to bring the other meal back and they said no. I then asked if I could send someone else to pick up the replacement and they said yes. I gave them the name if the person who would be picking up the order and hung up.

When the person arrived to pick up my order they told them that they would not give him the order because he did not bring back the other food. I then bagged the order that they initially said did not need to be returned and brought it back. I explained to the gentleman that I usually place my order with what happened and why I was upset, while explaining a shirt dyed blonde haired server with a pink mask on walked away. Apparently she told him that she told us the original order needed to be returned. I said that wasn't true. When she returned she tried to tell me the same thing and I said ut wasn't true. She continued to make that false claim and I told her she was a liar. The only thing she said yes to was that someone else could pick it up. I was sitting next to the person that called and heard her.

I gave them back the original order, refused the new order and received a refund for my order. I explained to them that they lost a regular customer for the despicable way they treated us. Even more disturbing at no time did anyone from management even try to rectify...

I had a bad experience yesterday night... This waitress LAURA she was so rude.. I ask so many times for a regular sauce and she never brought it to my table... never ask my companion what kind of tortillas she wanted... we ask her so many times 8n Spanish and she tries to speak to me in English.. if I wanted to i would ask her in English to begin with..and besides its a latino restaurant we're they speak Spanish come on now...even if am latino she doesn't know that I sure do speak and write English 😉 don't try to be cocky... if you got problems at home or you didn't had a great day.. don't let your customers that bad Idea of a bad service if you don't wish to serve then there's other places to work... be mind full that wether you like it or not you have to smile even if it's the worst day or if you don't like that person am paying for the food and service it was not free at all.. I went to the managers too thinking that it was a joke which I was complaining for the bad service not the food and I do not care what's going on between them but it was not professional either bad bad bad service AND NO APOLOGY FROM LAURA (WAITRESS)...

*Vegetarians beware!

Went this afternoon, just a little after 3PM. Place was empty except for one or two other tables (One that was about to leave as we arrived and one that came and left while we were eating).

Atmosphere was nice, place was clean and staff were decent and friendly enough.

Food came out quickly (10-15 minutes if I had to guess) and was a good price.

Husband had the #16 with an extra side of beans. The enchilada didn't seem to have any seasoning aside from a bit of salt and pepper and the sauce on top was even worse. Guacamole was bland too but the rest had a better flavor. Side of beans was barely room temperature.

I had the vegetarian burrito. It was seasoned well and the veggies were tender even if it wasn't very warm....but at the end of one *there was a bit of steak mixed in with the veggies.

If the place had been busy I would have excused it a bit more but, as I mentioned above, it wasn't. Maybe they thought it was a mushroom, who knows. Regardless we didn't bring it up to the staff. We were just ready to go home at this point.

So all in all a very average place at best. Won't be going back...
