I would like to share my feelings about the Pennington Market florist department. Certain times in our life can be very difficult and losing a Mom was one of the most difficult days of my life. I had to pick up the pieces and stay strong and follow through with all of the responsibilities I had to make sure my Mom had a wonderful funeral.
One of the responsibilities I had was flowers. I sat with Sharon at the Pennington Market to go over what I wanted. She was extremely kind, understanding, and sympathetic with me during time I was there. It was such a pleasure to be able to sit down with someone like her when you are going through such a difficult time.
I felt like she was family, as I have been shopping at the Pennington Market for over 50 years, I guess you could actually say they are like family! I explained to Sharon what I would like, and not only did I get what I wanted, but they were even more beautiful than I ever expected.
I wanted to express my appreciation for the time that she spent with me and for the beautiful flowers that arrived the morning of my Mom’s funeral.
In one way, it’s so sad, because they are so beautiful and we have to place them at the gravesite at the cemetery, but when your Mom is as special as mine was, you want to make everything special!
Pennington Market has always been an extraordinary store, and their florist is no exception. If you ever want flowers, for any occasion, I highly recommend using the Pennington Market.
Thank you again,...

Had a wisdom tooth removed today, was in pain and feeling down in the dumps. I was hungry and the first thing that came to mind was sashimi from PQM. I was disappointed when I saw that they didn't have any. An associate spotted me, informed the chef, and a few minutes later I had a fresh platter of very thinly sliced sashimi and cucumber prepared just for me. The chef went above and beyond to make sure that I would be able to eat it comfortably and wished me a swift recovery. I would rate them 10 stars if I could.
Original review: Pennington Quality Market has always been a favorite of my family. I have frequented this grocery store most of my life and love every part of it. Top quality staff, always genuinely polite and eager to help - many have been there for decades. In particular I enjoy chatting with one of their butchers, lately I'm only in the area every four months or so and he remembers me every time.
Great coffee bar, salad bar, meats, fish, signature sandwiches, produce - you name it! Their sushi is the best I have ever purchased at a grocery store, always fresh and their chef takes great pride in his work.

Read morePoor selection, very high prices, and they don't even have their hours listed anywhere online. My daughter calls this place "the old lady store". I used to tell her to be respectful but now I join in with her - Imagine a grocery store's clientele when in 2020 they don't even have hours listed on the internet.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, however, this store loves its right-wing politics over its customers. A few years back they hosted Chris Christie in their produce department to sign legislation that would keep workers' wages lower, because, you know, old ladies who spend 16.99 for a plate of refrigerated salisbury steak need high school kids and single moms to make less money.
Groceries and politics don't mix. I'm tickled that they would try to do something like that in a liberal area like Pennington/Hopewell. We'll see what PQM turns into when the population in the area gets just a LITTLE bit older, and, you know, Republicans keep insisting we don't wear corona masks, LOL. See ya later old...
