I had a very unfortunate situation occur with Knit One and Holly who works there that I feel should be shared. I signed up excitedly for a crochet class a month in advance. I was informed just days before the class that no one else had signed up. As I had already paid for the entire 4 classes I agreed to taking private lessons. I went for one lesson and did receive my crochet hook and yarn. Still not having used up the money I had already paid the teacher and I made a date to meet yesterday. Yesterday morning I had a dental emergency and although I was in pain and tried to call the shop which has no voicemail I was unable to get through until just after 11. I was calling from the dental office! That is how respectful I am as a teacher myself. I finally reached someone at 11:10. I explained my situation. Today I called to say again how sorry I was and I was told by Holly I was no longer welcomed in the store and that I would not be allowed to continue to take my class. She was very rude and said she was a small business and had to pay for the instructor. I said that was not true since I was paid in full and never got the service I paid for! What a terrible way to treat a customer. A few years ago I went there to learn how to knit and it was such a nice place to be. Today so shocked and upset me. Lastly, if the owner reads this I would like to suggest that she may call me to hear that there are two sides to this situation.

I appreciate your response. Sadly, you have been sorely misinformed. I offered to speak with you because I believed you would want to hear my perspective with the situation that transpired. I believe you are trying to correct this situation. I do not make a habit of writing google reviews. But your employee or co-owner was so rude I felt I needed to stand up and say this is not ok. I work with woman daily who are beaten down through a non-profit. I am dedicated to helping woman feel their worth. I am very fortunate that I have rarely experienced this kind of treatment that I did that day from this person. It so upset me and made me feel this is not ok. Thank you for your refund although that was not what I was seeking. Next time perhaps asking what happened would have made all...

As a result from a cost perspective, ordering yarn from the Knitstitch Shop is cost prohibitive for us in the USA. Ā Ā Ā Read moreThey are very nice here, helpful, and didn't rush me out! I came rushing in just before close to get yarn for "Pussyhats" for my stepmother and her friends before we got hit with a big snow storm so I could get them done in time. I do wish they had a slightly more wide selection and I would probably be in here more, but their prices are competitive and they were all too happy to help me out with my needs. I do plan on...
