I truly wanted to support this local business after seeing it recommended in several Facebook groups, but unfortunately, my experience was deeply disappointing.
I made an appointment through the website for 6/20 but when I arrived, the staff seemed surprised I had shown up. I explained that I was interested in resetting my wedding ring from platinum to gold. Rather than being brought into a design consultation or treated like a scheduled client, I stood at the register explaining my idea for the redesign.
When I asked about design, cost, and timeline, I received vague answers like, “We won’t know until we take it back and look at it.” I had to prompt nearly every step of the conversation, and when I asked to see rings from the case to help guide the design process, there was little enthusiasm or support. I left unsure if I was missing something, or if this level of service was just normal for the studio.
Despite the odd tone, we agreed I’d leave my ring and wait approximately 1.5 weeks for a quote. This was documented only on a paper slip. After I left, I told my husband I felt the interaction had been cold and dismissive — but given all the positive reviews, I chalked it up to an off day.
On June 27, I received a text with the quote and a prompt asking how I’d like to proceed. I replied, “Thanks. I’ll be in to pick up my ring in a bit and will discuss the options with my husband!” Given the complete lack of prior discussion, I wasn’t comfortable making a quick decision without more context.
This is where things fell apart. I was told, “The ring is not here and I will have to schedule a time for you to pick it up.”
I’ve included screenshots of the exchange, which I believe speak for themselves. At no point was I told the ring would be sent off-site, or that quotes were time-sensitive. The lack of transparency made me deeply uncomfortable, and it was clear I wasn’t being treated as a valued client.
When I arrived today, July 7, to retrieve my ring, the owner, Robin, simply said, “Hi, here is your ring. I need you to sign to acknowledge that you picked it up.”
No apology. No explanation. Nothing.
I can’t speak to the quality of Robin’s jewelry work, but I can speak confidently to my experience as a potential customer: 0/10.

Read moreTotally disappointed. Here are the facts. At considerable expense I had a previously owned diamond recut and reset, purchased 3 new stones and had them set into a ring that Robyn designed for me. I chose this store because although pricey, it was trustworthy and I thought customer-oriented. I’m more than satisfied with the product - the ring is gorgeous, and the experience was pleasant. Unfortunately it ended on a bad note. I contacted Robyn shortly after completion and requested the ring be resized. She informed me that resizing would cost an additional $150. I feel that after spending upwards of $14,000, the store could have offered me this very basic service free of charge. When I suggested this to Robyn she refused and became defensive and unfriendly. The customer service was lacking to say the least. I will not be returning to Orion Jewelry Studio, nor will I be recommending it to...
Read moreI’ve used Orion Jewelry Studio many times for recycling old pieces of jewelry and coins, purchasing new pieces for my children, and Robin has also created some of my most beautiful and cherished pieces of jewelry. She is a true artist. I brought in an old family ring, and Robin melted it down and transformed it into a beautiful new wedding band. It means so much to have something so sentimental given new life in such a meaningful way and brings me joy every time I look at it! Orion’s entire staff is lovely and I trust...
