I would never recommend going to the michaels craft store over by Sam's club next to five below they followed me around like I was some kind of ingrate and after one of their employees told me I could have the free coloring pages that were laid out on a table and their manager Anita started acting like I was doing something wrong and told me that I could have 4 pics for 5 kids and then after they had insulted me downgraded me and disrespected me and I decided I was not going to buy anything Anita said "we knew you were not going to buy anything " and essentially told me that bc I spent 2 hours walking around collecting things I wanted to buy and then she followed me over to the door and searched my stuff to make sure I didn't steal anything and I made it very clear I had over $200 in my pocket and she actually acted like she was better than me and when I get the chance to file my complaint with the corporate office and my suggestion for what she did and how she was acting towards me im going to file slander and defamation of character charges on them and then I will make sure she and her coworker loose their jobs and if that's a option then I take matters into my own hands and make sure that she knows what she did was not right and unbecoming of a member of management who have a image to uphold and she needs to be fired without the ability of rehire and then I will just sit...
Read moreCouldn't find anything I was looking for..and there was no one around. I had to go find someone finally at the checkout, turns out those 2 girls, were the only 2 working. Nor their fault by any means they had people to check our. Clearly either short staffed, poor scheduling, or both. Turns out 1 of them was a manager of some sort, yet wasn't very friendly, and she actually started taking off down an isle after looking straight at me. I had to flail my arms around at her saying Miss...Miss.. I need some assistance ! (Which BTW, I hate doing that at someone in a store)..lol. Needless to say, she wasn't very happy to be of help to me, let's just say "low energy "! They apparently don't have what I wanted, which was those Nibs.. replacement felt paint pen tips... Anyway she was very brief in her explaining that they do not have them in the store but but she actually took the initiative to look online and Of course there was only one item and it didn't match. So I did end up with a couple of items and when it was time for me to check out she basically said go ahead the girl will get you I will get you on your way that was it. When I go back I go back the store itself was nice maybe they had more staff and maybe retrained the "un"...
Read moreAs a 40-year-old man whose idea of crafting is duct taping something back together, I wasn’t exactly thrilled when my wife announced we were going to Michael’s. I thought, "How bad could it be?" Spoiler alert: it’s like stepping into a vortex of glitter, fake flowers, and endless possibilities that I had no idea existed.
The moment we walked in, my wife’s eyes lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. Me? I headed straight for the one aisle that made sense—manly wood things and model kits. Turns out, you can’t build an entire birdhouse in-store, but I sure considered it just to pass the time.
The staff, though, deserves an award. One guy saw me aimlessly wandering and suggested I check out their “man cave crafts” section. (Yes, apparently that’s a thing?) He was either trying to help me or subtly trolling, but I appreciated it.
By the end of it, my wife had 47 items we desperately needed for a Pinterest project that may never happen. Me? I walked out with a tiny paint-by-numbers kit of a fish. I’ll never admit it, but I actually enjoyed it.
So, if your wife drags you to Michael’s, just go with it. You might accidentally have fun...and leave with a weird sense of accomplishment. Plus, they sell snacks. 9/10, would recommend...
