The lady that checked me in was amazing, very helpful and polite. The room was extremely large large which was a pleasant surprise! We got all unpacked and settled in. My husband of course enjoyed the hot tub/jacuzzi in our room. A little while after he used it we were watching TV relaxing from our drive. I kept hearing a noise, I thought my hubz didn't turn faucet off completely, after 15 mins or so I went to check on it ..to my surprise there was water everywhere, coming from ceiling and everything I had laying near by was wet. We had only been there maybe 4 hours or so when it happened. I immediately called desk to inform them. They got back with us fairly quick and asked if we wanted to change rooms..ummm yes please we were staying 3 nights & had only been in room maybe 3 hours. So since I literally unpacked everything, hung up clothes etc, we moved down 1 floor. Not one time after did anyone that worked there say a word about the room, even after telling them some of our things got soaked & had to be washed. Or apologized for our inconvenience. I was very surprised, as Choice hotel is typically very spot on with customer service, I didn't get hateful at all because I realized it really was no one's fault, even tho we heard ppl the next morning at breakfast we heard ppl from room above us saying they had complained about their tub and such not draining. Then there was breakfast, it was very disappointing, typically it is great at other choice properties, but this was not good at all...1st off the ppl working breakfast spent more time sitting at table on phone than keeping things full, we came down at probably 730 am, no gravy for biscuts, no bread for toast only English muffins or bagels. Tables were not wiped down. When we mentioned gravy she seemed very bothered by our question. 2nd day no gravy, just am empty crackpot. The scrambled eggs gone, sausage was good. Juice (orange) empty just watery. Of course waffles were great but with everything being empty they were only thing available so the line was long. So we just went out for breakfast. Our final day Breakfast was sort of better, except again no gravy. We managed with just waffles & eggs of couse. Ultimately very...
Read moreI chose this hotel based off their positive reviews, and unfortunately it was not what we expected. We woke up to a cockroach in our room which I am not a fan of bugs so I trapped it with an ice bucket and let the front desk know. The lady working the desk said she was not a fan of bugs either and would let the supervisor know and that she would talk with us. We were down stairs for 30 min and no one came to speak with us, so we went on about our day. We returned to find that only one of our beds were made and the bug was gone but a thorough cleaning was not done after bugs had been found which we expected there to be.
I let the front desk know and was told that the bed was not made because our kids pillows and blankets they brought from home were on the bed so they would not make it. The response I got was no one is there in the evenings and the lady at the front desk could not leave the desk, so she could do nothing about it but pass the information on. This led me to start worrying that maybe they only clean things half way and that maybe the bugs were a result of a cleanliness issue and not a chance occurrence. Their internal policy apparently is that they will not make your bed if you leave anything on it, but they did make one of the beds our daughter had her stuffed animal on so not sure how that works with their policy. We have never encountered this during our travels and it has never been an issue for our kids to bring their comforts from home such as a baby blanket and pillow. This policy is also not posted anywhere. There was a line of visible dust on the carpet in the room and as well in the hallways.
We were told that this is south, got asked are you from the south? Go read our online reviews, travelers bring those bugs with them in their luggage, and there is nothing we can do about any of the issues. Have a nice day.
The breakfast was good. The pool appeared dirty so we did not swim. We also did not use the fitness center. The internet signal was poor so if you need it for business purposes...
Read moreI would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We travel a lot for cheer competitions and never had an issue at any Comfort Inn. I always choose pay at checkin with zero issues. I have a fund for cheer competitions and always put the money in that bank account the day of travel. The hotel ran my card before my arrival, cancelled my room and treated me like I couldn’t afford to stay there. The manager was rude and I held my composure the best I could while crying because I needed a place to stay. She informed me the run cards when they are sold out. She stated she had a room. I was at work but told her I could walk to the bank really quick and put the money in my acct. I confirmed this was for two nights and she rudely replied no I don’t have a room for two nights I told you we are sold out. I started crying and said this was B.S. I hung up. I frantically searched for another hotel but with cheer competitions and baseball I could not find anything so I decided to book for the one night and try to find something for the next night so I’d have somewhere to stay. i booked online and called the hotel to ask if they had someone cancel for the night of the 15th could they let me know. Unfortunately, I was not given the opportunity to ask because the manager stated a cussed her out and was rude when in fact I didn’t cuss her out. She was the individual who was rude and I tried being professional and holding my composure. She canceled the reservation I just booked online for the night of the 14th. I begged to let me stay and she told me I was not welcome there. The staff was very unprofessional, degrading and heartless. I would recommend this hotel hire a new GM and retrain their staff to be...
