RUDE, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR:
I’ve sold clothes at Buffalo Exchange before, but the girl with the septum piercing and black hair consistently has poor customer service. I recently came in to help a friend sell clothing before moving abroad. We had more items than the average seller, so we patiently waited our turn, even as others with fewer items were prioritized (something that would’ve been fine if it had been communicated to us). Instead, they chose others to skip us and we overheard employees making comments like, “ugh, that’s so much stuff.”
While she was friendly to other customers, she was noticeably rude to us—avoiding eye contact, continuing a conversation with a coworker instead of acknowledging my greeting, and responding dismissively when I asked where to place the bins (to make her job easier). Instead of giving clear instructions, she rolled her eyes and said, “Um, HERE I guess,” with an attitude, as if my question was an inconvenience. Despite her tone, I let it slide to avoid disrupting the sale for my friend.
When it came time to check the items, she repeatedly and rudely asked me for an ID, assuming I was the seller instead of simply clarifying. I didn’t respond because she was already disrespectful and it wasn’t my sale. When my friend finally asked her to relax, she abruptly stopped the buy after we had already waited at least 30 minutes.
It was clear she wasn’t interested in doing her job and was looking for an excuse to turn us away. Her dismissiveness, lack of communication, and unprofessional attitude made for a frustrating and unnecessary experience. I’m certainly not the only person she’s behaved like...
Read moreI used to shop and sell my clothes at Buffalo for many years. Today was bad very bad. I brought in three bags of clothing and three pairs of shoes. One of the pair being Brand new, only worn once Timberland boots, they're black with white trim. When I first walked in they were "kind of" polite. Buffalo was never like that before. Well I walked around and came back. She said "okay well you got 32 credit in store or 19 dollars in cash" I said okay cool what items did you accept? I wanted to know. It's my items that I'm selling. She didn't want to let me know what she had accepted at first. I had to ask her TWICE what items she accepted. She accepted a tshirt, a tshirt. Seriously. Most of my items I brought in were brand new with or without tags. I said what about the shoes. She said oh we got the boots. She acted like she didn't want to tell me they accepted the boots. Sooooo you want me to accept 19 dollars in cash for my 195 Timberland boots that have no damage to them. She had already added them to the bin. I said no thanks, I want my boots back. She asked me oh you want the boots back, I said yes I do. Then she said, oh you want the tshirt.. uh yeah.. I want everything. I don't need the money. I need to get rid of my clothes!! So basically they were not going to tell me what they took just here's your money okay bye... no ma'am. Terrible customer service. I don't know what is wrong with these stores now days but I'm done. I'll continue to sell my items online and eBay!!! Buffalo Exchange should be called Bull exchange because they're full of bull-ish!!! Tootles. If I could -2...
Read moreI visited to the store today, and was treated to a terrible customer service experience. I walked into the store with several casual items and some suits that I was looking to get rid of. I signed in on the QR code after the gentleman at the door directed me and took a peek at what I was carrying, which was not obscured in bags. I was carrying everything by the hangar. I then sat, waited 30 minutes, and watched as 3 of the 4 people behind the counter just played on their phones and cracked jokes about how the girl behind the counter actually working needed to hurry up because a line was forming. Once I got to my turn, I put my things down, and the woman took one look at my pile and told me they didn't do formal wear. Then she took a set of the pressed pants I had on the hangar off, looked at them, and said, "The could be good, but we don't buy only one item." Before handing them back to me. I asked if she could put them back on the hangar while I gathered up the rest of my things, and one of the other workers behind the counter told me there were people waiting, so I could hang the pants back the right way myself after they had taken them off and put them back on. These people do not know how to be polite, and they turned down several peoples items. I wound up buying something from a woman outside the store who had been turned down that was a designer coat. If you want to get rid of your items, I'd try poshmark, or somewhere online. This is an ok place to buy from, but selling here is clearly not for "regular people". They seem to have a self-selecting sort...
