What a find! I found Silverlust from some online sources whose overall reviews were 5+. I wanted to engrave a silver goblet that was my grandmother’s as a baby keepsake for a niece. They hand-engrave offsite and turnaround is very quick. Mallisa works at the shop & her mother, Aydee, does the engraving. I could not have been happier with the finished product so I took a second goblet for engraving (also perfect). I have been going through old family jewelry and took in some old watches that didn’t work. Some just needed batteries which were fixed while I waited, some needed new bands, some wrist watches & antique pocket watches needed to be shipped offsite to Erik’s grandfather in Missouri (who is master watchmaker) for his opinion. Erik is a young man who is so personable, engaging, knowledgeable and goes out of his way to evaluate rings & things on site. They have tools to tell if a diamond is real or not, grade the gold & silver content, and can identify your gemstones - rubies, emeralds, blue topaz, aquamarines, sapphires, garnets, etc. I mentioned to Erik that I had found other pieces of ivory, cameos & various misc antique pieces. He was enthusiastic to see them so I brought those to the shop and we had a great time exploring, researching and evaluating these pieces. There is absolutely no jeweler out there that can compare to Silverlust and their ENTIRE staff! They are the most humble, kind, professional, and most importantly CARING people you will ever meet. I took my wife’s two wedding bands in for a special project of making them into a custom anniversary ring with our wedding year in Roman numerals in between them. Several other jewelers said they couldn’t do that and would have to create a custom ring from scratch. Herschel and Eric customized my wife’s rings EXACTLY how I asked for it and beyond! I had a custom link made and attached on a silver gucci watch I purchased with silverlust and I must say my experience was amazing to say the least. Herschel was such a pleasure to deal with and Eric did an amazing job putting on the link. I would have to say the biggest thing that struck me about my experience with silverlust was the passion in what they do. I ran into Herschel while getting breakfast after I received my watch and thanked him, when he described to me how they repaired the watch and how much attention to detail they put in.
