Bayou Oaks Apartments — Local services in Houston

If I could I give them no stars. I went to visit a family member who was ill. There was no sign at the gate entrance or on her building that said they tow vehicle who don't go onto an app and sign in. I came out and my car was gone. I went to the office. Which, btw, I believe the office called and had my car towed because there was a camera near my family member's apt. The lady in the office, Lydia acted like she couldn't understand. She was on the phone with someone coaching her what to say. Which her name was Mrs. Rodriguez. Yes, I'm name dropping. I'd like to also say I never went passed the gate area and went straight to my family member's apartment. She tells me the person I was visiting should've told me. Ok, I give you that. My family member is blind and her husband wasn't there, so who gonna tell me? Then she said there was signs posted. When I checked there was a sign in the visitor's area (which is further down), across and down the way from where I parked ( a vehicle was blocking that sign) and 2 buildings down. There was NOT in front of her apartment. I told them that but they didn't care. The sign above my family member's apartment said it was being monitored and nothing else. I took a video as proof. Then I asked them for the owner's info they gave me the number to where my vehicle was towed. They were no help. Neither was the people where my car was towed. I had to pay $300 and my car hadn't been gone 10 minutes. Mrs. Rodriguez said they have a contract with the wrecker service. I told her I would notify the owner and send the video via email. It's already a trashy looking apartment and that is a money racket. They believe saw my car was a nice and called the tow service. I will still visit my family member but will park down the street or have someone sit in the car...

Rats and roaches, some rats living in walls they are pack rats. Garbage always outside the dumpster, moved in a year ago no AC and I’m pregnant and it gets over 90 in the apartment that can kill my child. Mantience always says they’re gonna come and they don’t. Raised my water bill due to the fact they let downstairs neighbors stay in the apartments not paying rent and connecting cords to outside apartments lights to get power and then raises others rent so it won’t effect them. Contacted the city and they gave them a few days to fix it and so management came but they waited till they where about to leave to ask what needed fixed and before that she was asking how many pets and how many people and going thru apartment Im assuming trying to find anything to kick me out. Had to fix multiple leaks and holes and patch up holes so rats don’t get in and never been reimbursed. Apparently this issues been going on since 2008. So I moved in and nothing worked literally the refrigerator was full of flies and maggots the dishwasher leaked all the way into the living room let me see the bathroom didn't work. There was a list for everything yes my rent was $785 for a two bedroom two bath but literally everything was wrong I did not have rats but we definitely had roaches they never came to spray they didn't do anything and the Mexican manager DD was very very very rude I've never experienced anything like that before it was definitely my first apartment I moved from California to Texas and that's what happened. I would definitely recommend seeing the place before it's quiet it's not loud and obnoxious but the complex itself The Way businesses ran there is definitely...
