Stopped in to grab some breakfast and ended up getting a full refund over $0.30 versus the employee Gabby or the manager Maria just simply giving me the $0.30 difference. Horrible customer service experience. Not to mention, prices at this location seem to be higher than other locations. I purchased a small cholate milk (on the menu board displays as $2.59, but rung up for $2.89), Kolache w/Cheese $3.85, 2 Plain glaze donuts $1.42 each and 1 specialty donut @ $2.61= Total was $12.43 with tax. When I address the menu board not matching what was rung up, Gabby told me they had not updated their menu board, she could not give me the $0.30 difference, but could give me a fully refund. The manager Maria came up front as well and they both gave the impression that they understood, but shifted blame to the owner as the reason why they could not make me whole.
It's about principle for me and the overall customer service experience. This is not how you treat customers. So, you are willing to refund $12.43 in sales versus give a customer back $0.30 that was overcharged and waste food? Unless you are going to resale those items? This does not make sense for the life of me. Thank you for the experience, it saved me $12.43 and caused me to eat a free healthier option that was...
ย ย ย Read moreIm disappointed with the app for allowing me to order an item that the store doesn't carry . Im furious with the store employess for treating me like im some vagabond off the street who was begging . They need employees who understand customers who speak in english . I had to speak the little bit of spanish I know for the gentleman to get someone else to help AFTER almost screaming my name because he kept asking me my name and trying to ring up another order for me after I showed him my phone with the order on it . When I explained it to the lady that came over she gaslit me and told me it was nothing she could do for me and told me to call the number on the reciept .The number was MY NUMBER .She said call doordash is that where you got it from and i said no , I got it through the shipleys app.I had to practically beg for a substitution just so I could have any breakfast at all .I will never come back to this location in my life . 0/10 don't recommend . I will definitely make sure noone I know or don't know for that matter comes to this establishment . And shipleys take egg and cheese kolaches off the menu in your app that would have helped the...
ย ย ย Read moreA local told me that the key to Shipley Do-Nuts is eating them within an hour... not sure if that is true or not but these donuts are delicious! The location is a bit weird to get into/out of if there is a lot of traffic. I hit the drive through ordering 2 dozen mixed and of course I had to get a kolache with cheese.
The donuts were heavenly - seriously better than the national chains. They are fluffy and just have this amazing not too sweet texture. If I had not been around other people I would have gorged on at least 3-4 of these... but alas, I only had one. The kolache was good -- it is like a pig in a blanket really. The dough around it is light and wonderful. Now, they say it is 'sausage' but it is a hotdog. It was good, but I think I would have enjoyed the jalapeno...
