DJ Connection — Local services in Houston

Did not have the Best experience with this vendor. The initial people I met with were super friendly, but I did feel like they were pushy during our initial phone consultation, trying to get us to add additional things to our package. We were also told that we'd be able to meet with our DJ closer to the event and that didn't happen. We actually didn't even get to meet with the DJ until the day of our wedding. We did have a lot of communication back-and-forth with the company, as we created a playlist that we wanted the DJ to use. We specifically discussed our desire to only have the DJ use this playlist and only play songs off of this playlist. This was mentioned in several emails and phone calls. The reception started off fine with songs we chose being played, but as the nights went on, it felt like the DJ started ignoring our playlist. He started playing random songs that were not anything we requested and were not requested by anyone -- songs that were not on our playlist. He only went back to the playlist when my husband went over and talked with him. Additionally, during both the rehearsal the day of and the ceremony, the music skipped several times. This happened when both my bridesmaids and myself walked down the aisle -- you can clearly hear it in our wedding video our videographer shared with us. This was extremely disappointing, as these are important moments I wanted to go perfectly (and they should have gone perfectly). The DJ himself was nice, but we are not satisfied. Like we said, we gave the DJ and the company everything they needed to have this event go perfectly and it fell short. We decided to go with DJ Connections through our venue’s preferred vendors list. From the first phone call consultation with DJ Kyle, I was impressed by the professionalism and enthusiasm. During that time, I was offered a promotional package that included uplighting and personalized monogram. I was immediately sold. One week before the wedding, I received another phone call from DJ Cameron E. to finalized all the song choices. Cameron was very patient and helped me suggested a few good songs when I couldn’t think of any on the spot. On the day of our wedding, I met DJ Dante. He actually came to see me in person on the day of the wedding to ask if I had any last minute concerns or questions. Dante did such a phenomenal job being both our MC and DJ. He spoke clearly and kept everyone on schedule. His music selection helped got all of our guests dancing on their feet. Dante made announcements/reminders throughout the event to help keep all the guests engaged in all the stations we had planned (boba bar, photobooth, buffet). We are so glad DJ Dante was a part of our big day! Thank you DJ Connections for making our DJ selection process a breeze. Thank you, Dante, for making our night a memorable one...

Thank you Trelvis and DJ Connection for an outstanding DJ experience!! All of the music was perfectly timed and perfectly matched. I absolutely loved that the DJ showed us a line dance to one of the songs. He was flexible and made changes last minute and went with the flow of it all really well and played most of our must have songs. I did email an update to the song list a couple days before the event that the company did not get to our DJ in time apparently so the communication in the days leading up to the event was hit or miss and a little spotty and we didn’t meet or hear from our DJ until the day of the event which was frustrating. But overall once we are at our wedding it went really well. The updates I had emailed were ignored and they played a song I didn’t want them to play but I don’t fault the DJ for that just the communication process where I had to email the company instead of just talking to the DJ.
