I just came from this location with my wife and we went to buy a dozen and a half eggs they have their price at this location set at $3.79 for great a dozen and a half eggs I can front of the manager and asked him why the eggs were this expensive because this was not the normal price he could not answer me I told him this was price gouging during this time of despair in our nation he Kept trying to walk away from me and tell me that they do not do price gouging so I went home and called their corporate office they assured me that that was not their regular price and at $2.39 was the regular price I called for other locations throughout Houston and they all had the same price of $2.39 this store is price gouging its customers I hope that they all lose their jobs behind the actions that they are taking to try to squeeze money out of people kept trying to walk away from me and tell me that they do not do price gouging so I went home and called their corporate office they assured me that that was not their regular price and at $2.39 was the regular price I called for other locations throughout Houston and they all had the same price of $2.39 this store is price gouging its customers I hope that they all lose their jobs behind the actions that they are taking to try to squeeze money out of people That are only there to buy food for...

I shopped at this place for the second time the other day; Sunday, November Second. I had been in the place over a year ago when I first moved to the area, though I was just there to look around. It is about a mile and a half from my place, but there is another major chain supermarket less than a mile from my place so I have been going there for 99% of my stuff, the other 1% I normally get at the Fiesta Mart down the other way. When I looked around the other day, I was very impressed.

Yes, I was one of the very few white people in a very crowded store. I not only did not feel uncomfortable I was actually treated with respect by a young black boy who smiled, called me sir and allowed me to cut in front of him with my cart.

The prices were very good, much cheaper than where I had been shopping. Their produce was fantastic, they even had good looking fresh okra in November. The same brand of frozen Crawdads I like was two bucks cheaper there. I think you can see I was shopping for Gumbo ingredients.

When I got to the checkout stand I was very impressed. No cooperate slogan greeting, just a "Hi" from the girl at the register as she quickly and efficiently checked me out. The bagger was outstanding, like items in the same bag, he was good.

Yes, the parking lot needs work. I will not hold that against Foodtown.

This is now my...

My daughter and i were both sick with the flu, and I went here for some pediatric dosed medicine. But when I went to check out, my card kept declining and I didn’t have my phone on me. I had forgotten the unlock pin for my card in that moment of anxiety, having a line of other shoppers behind me. The cashier was wearing a mask, and also spoke broken English, so when the manager was requested via loud speaker, I assumed it was to void the transaction, so I could run to my car to get my phone, to unlock my card.

But no, thats not what she was doing. The selfless cashier asked for permission to pay for my item. She then pulled out a wadded up $10.00 bill and paid for my child’s medicine, no hesitation. I’ve gone back several times to try and pay her back and thank her again, but since she was wearing a mask, I can’t identify her. I’ve asked other employees if they might remember the incident, but to no avail. So I want to sincerely thank the staff at this location regardless. They are always so friendly and helpful no...

Like the weekly sales plus the free item. The store front reflects a new and inviting appearance. Some people like the location and hope it continues to serve the public.
