Iron Oak is a gym that takes pride in providing all the tools needed to achieve your health goals. As a member for the past year, I have learned more about lifting techniques, how nutrition and sleep impact your performance, and even how stretching and mobility will improve your day to day life. The coaches take pride in ensuring proper form, working within your abilities, and pushing you to achieve your best. All of that is not why I gave Iron Oak a 5/5, its because they are friendly, kind and willing to help in any way they can. People say you leave a job because of your boss. I think you stay at a gym because of the fun environment. Whether you're new to CrossFit like I was or a seasoned athlete Iron Oak is the gym for you.

Five-stars does not do Iron Oak justice. It is a 12 out of 10! A 12!!! I lucked into/got the privilege of being one of the single digit On Ramp grads at Iron Oak. Needless to say I have been a member on and off for over 9 years. It has always been a place of camaraderie and good vibes. The coaches always have the athletes best interest in mind and are upbeat and positive. The programming keeps the athletes on their toes, and I personally enjoy the different scaling options. It has a large indoor space with plenty of rig-space and varying weights, as well as men/women's dressing rooms and restrooms. I could go on an on, but I recommend checking it out for yourself.

Most equipped, largest and best maintained CrossFit gym I’ve experienced! Happy place indeed! Iron Oak, it’s coaches, community keep me motivated to be a better version of myself each day. IO is where I keep my balance and health — physical and mental. Coaches are excellent in guiding the community/members into achieving their goals, are you there for a good strong healthy time or are you in it to make it to competitions? They’ll help with both. I enjoy the special events and competitions within the gym too!

Iron Oak truly understands that health isn’t a place, it is a state of mind. This perspective is reflected in every single aspect of IOC, for me their facility, to their programming and to their coaches. IOC understands the heart of CrossFit is community and creates not only a physical space for this but also a mental and emotional space.

Iron Oak has created a physical space for its clients to start their wellness journey, to evolve on that journey and continue it. The facility is clean and organized - which is so important! They have all the equipment you could ask for or need! They take great pride in taking care of their facility.

Iron Oak’s programming is constantly evolving and adapting to the community. Their programming offers routes for every level of client and ever interest a client may have on their wellness journey.

Iron Oak’s coaches are truly in alignment with IOC’s core values and actively work to continue to be a reflection of what they preach. I love that not every coach at Iron Oak is the same. This allows the members to choose which coach works best for them while also allowing each coach to remain an individual. The expression of coaching may be different but the foundation of the same. Each coach is professional and super knowledgeable on what they teach!

I cannot express how grateful I am to be a part of Iron Oak. It has been a journey and I hope to continue to be...

Iron Oak CrossFit is amazing! Before I fully joined, I tried a few CrossFit boxes in the heights area and downtown Houston and Iron Oak was the best CrossFit box by far. The coaches and the community members are amazing. The facility is very big, clean, and they have several big fans that keep the area well ventilated during hot days. There is plenty of equipment and it’s all very well maintained. They have plenty of class times available for all sorts of schedules and they offer a 24/7 access option.

The coaches are the very best, they are encouraging, friendly, and know their stuff. They give great feedback on form and modifications if needed. They regularly plan fun activities and challenges to keep the members engaged throughout the year. I have visited other boxes in different cities and states and the Iron Oak CrossFit coaches are the best by far.

They also offer nutrition coaching. I highly, highly, highly recommend taking advantage of this option if you want to learn better eating and wellness habits. The coaches are amazing and genuinely care about helping you reach your fitness and wellness goals.

I can’t say enough great things about Iron Oak. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a...

One of the hardest things about moving inside the loop was finding a gym I felt comfortable in. I wanted a welcoming space where I could lift without being judged. I had heard all sorts of horror stories about CrossFit and was very intimidated, but gave IronOak a try. I’m so glad I did. As someone new to CrossFit I did the on boarding program and I was a great way to learn the proper technique for all the Olympic lifts. I’ll never be a competitive athlete, but I still have a place at IOC. The coaches make it a point to get to know the strengths and weaknesses of each athlete so you can meet your individual goals. They help you scale and modify workout so you can push yourself safely. The programming is well thought out and designed to improve your fitness, not just force you to do crazy things day after day. The coaches and staff work so hard to plan fun activities. There are in house competitions, book clubs, optional challenges and nutrition coaching.

Overall, this is a great place no matter your level. It is on the pricy side, but the gym is clean, well stocked, and spacious. Plus, I want coaches who know how to focus on safely lifting heavy, not just...
