Ross Dress for Less — Local services in Houston

I purchased a 6ft. cat tree and two 26” pieces of luggage. When I asked a sales clerk for assistance with the cat tree she instructed me to take my two suitcases to the register and leave them and bring back a cart to put the cat tree on which I did. The was no assistance in lifting the cat tree onto the cart. When I got to the front the cashier was rude when scanning my items. She put forth as little effort as possible even told me to grab my receipt. Again, no help was offered in taking my purchases out to my vehicle. As I made my way with the cat tree on the cart the pole that extends upward caught on the doorframe. Once again, no assistance but rather informed “Sir, you can’t take the basket out of the store”. I left the cat tree and took the two pieces of luggage to my car then parked in front of the store where I wrestled to get the 6’ cat tree into my vehicle. OhhhhhMaGooodness! Ross Dress for Less is the place that I go to before any of the big name department stores for everything from linens and towels, dog beds and supplies, gardening tools, last minute gifts, toiletries, home decor, arts and crafts, etc. You will also find that all of the before mentioned products are available also in brand names. My point is, stop worrying about the fact that they don’t carry stilettos in a size 11 to fit your voluptuous feet. Gurhl, they have so much more to offer than just shoes and clothes. The stores are well stocked, most have a friendly staff, but I have a problem with the fact that it seems that there’s always a long line to checkout due to not enough cashiers to accommodate the long queues that they have. I don’t usually write reviews for any Ross location I go to because they tend to have the same quality service, and selection of clothing. I’ve never had a bad customer service experience at Ross. However, I’ve never had an employee go above and beyond either, that is until today. The person in the fitting room area was hands-down, one of the kindest, most patient, and sweet humans I have ever interacted with at any Ross location. Their name was Ashlie on their name tag. I was very anxious about trying on summer clothes after losing more than 130lbs, Ashlie was kind, gave me feedback that felt honest and sincere, it was like shopping with a friend.
