I've used this pharmacy for years. Most of the time the service was good. The staff turnover is very high. It's a very busy location. I would suggest you move to Kroger's down the street or HEB on Shepherd. Service is faster, staffs are good, and prices are comparable. I had a Prevnar vaccine here on Sept. 16, 2024. I became very ill from the side effects. The pharmacist suggested I take it to protect against pneumonia. All vaccines have risks. I wish I had not taken this one. I contacted Walgreen's HQ, FDA, and vaccine maker Pfizer. None have responded to me. This is very risky item. Take it only if your doctor says so. I've never had any bad vaccine reactions till now. Maybe I just was unlucky. It has cost me over 200.00 to get medical help to deal with the side effects. Do not make the mistake I did. It was like having a bad flu for 3-5 days. At 68 this is very scary. I'm moving all my RX to Kroger. Take vaccines only as your doctor advises. Never take them on a walk on basis like I did. It might kill you. The pharmacist acted in good faith, I don't blame her. I only wish she discussed the side effects and how bad they can be for older people. At HEB the pharmacist kindly explained to me these side effects once I got better. I got a UTI from it due to not keeping hydrated. I've never been so ill...
Read moreEvery time I have a prescription sent here I brace myself for the stunning rudeness and incompetence of the pharmacy staff. They often send me a text that my script is ready only to get there and told to come back in an hour, sometimes as many as 3 times only to come back and being told that they are out of the meds i needed and I'll need to come back the next day. Because the medicare insurance and being forced to use walgreens and that's at a higher cost to me. Kroger is cheaper but the medicare insurance insist that i use walgreens, a lot of the meds are not even covered and i have to pay out of pocket. As a long time customer. I am used to the general delays that can be expected and appreciated when filling a prescription. What is consistently shocking is a lack of care or attention given to me as a customer. The staff is slow, disinterested, and could care less how they treat you. Walgreens used to be the best pharmacy around and I've used them for over 30 years but they've gone from #1 being the best to #10 being the worst. When they actually decide to acknowledge your presence.
Given the location and the traffic, one would think the caliber of individuals could at least pretend to be on the job but they act like they are doing...
Read moreI made an appointment to see the clinic on line. It was for today. When I got there I did not see my name on the computer screen. So I went back to my car and got the paper that I printed that said I had an appointment. When I got back I was speaking to a customer. She told me she had a appointment early this morning but her daughter got in some trouble and the lady missed her appointment. I was in line waiting for the lady at the clinic. When the lady that missed her appointment walked past me and straight into the clinic office. Then they shut the door. The clinic took her even though she missed her appointment. Then when they were done I told the clinic that I don't see my name on the check in computer. She told me that system messed up and did not send her my appointment. I asked her if she could see me anyway. After all I had the print out that stated I did have an appointment today and I was there on time. She told me that she could not see me. She told me to call the 1-800 number. That she was to lazy to give me. If you are truly sick don't count on your appointment time. There is...
