If I could rate this store a zero I would. I know that is cliche to say but I MEAN it. I believe the profile African Americans and constantly making the shopping experience UNCOMFORTABLE. They have constant changing of rules without properly enforcing them where the customers can trust them and vice versa. For example, there was a time last year where the new policy for returns change. In the midst of covid they expect us to give them our bag , without a proper tying off of the bag to prevent unnecessary people from entering and taking stuff while shopping or a proper way to label whose bag belong to who to prevent excess and unnecessary touching to slow the spread. Second they have a new policy starting today apparently for perfume. They have fragrance such as perfume, mists, and sprays. I was told that if i wanted the perfume I was to select and give to register. That is simple and fine, I had a mist and lotion set that was in my cart and the short Hispanic lady with blonde hair LITERALLY RAN to me to collect a MISt and BODY LOTION SET. I find the level of embarrassment to be disrespectful and again unnecessary in that instance. Every chance I give this location to maybe get it together, they disappoint. They lack good customer and ability to run their...
Read moreI visited a Ross store today on September 4, 2025, and once again, the customer service was terrible. Despite numerous reviews and complaints about the service, it seems that Ross has not addressed these ongoing issues.
While I was checking out, the cashier yelled at me to remove the black hangers from the clothes before paying. I refused to do this; it’s the cashier’s job to remove the hangers, not mine. My responsibility is to pay for my merchandise.
The man at the counter remarked that he guessed the customer didn't hear him and didn’t want to check me out. Another cashier then asked me to come to her register to complete my purchase. Unfortunately, when she handled my clothes, she balled them up and tried to stuff them into a bag. I told her I would fold my own clothes, and I ended up having to reach behind the cash register to get my own bag. The whole experience was incredibly frustrating and unprofessional.
Ross management really needs to evaluate their staff and bring in people who actually want to work. I shouldn't have to deal with poor service after spending my hard-earned money at your store. Customer service training on how to treat, greet, and handle merchandise properly is essential. If I could give a zero rating, I would give...
Read moreThe store manager on duty (May 1st, 2018 around 7:45pm) was not helpful at all. She made me feel as if I was attempting to return a used item. I was there to return a defective item. When I arrived, I explained to the exchange/return cashier that the item I bought broke within 30 mins of use. She called the manager to ask if she could accept the return. The manager came, glanced at the scissor part of the Tree Pruner and said it couldn't be returned because it was used. I replied, I know, it's defective, I used it and it promptly broke. She took a look at the receipt then said "you bought it almost a month ago, there are 8 days left before it makes a month." I said "Okay". Then she said "You can't return it", as she walked off. Needless to say I did not get to ask what she meant about the 8 day comment, nor felt like I was heard.
Ross has been my go to store for several years, this experience has made me fear, the manager training program is suffering, and thus, headed for a decline.
Moreover, beware of tree pruning tools/equipment sold at Ross.
Pictures in this review show the tree pruner and the size of the...
