As someone who has remodeled two homes and bough every screw from Home Depot, my experience with this Hillcroft store's staff leads me to leave a review that leaves a great deal to be desired from what I would consider 'basic' competencies.
4.5.20 I ordered a delivery from this store and paid $79 delivery charge which was advertised as next day, 4.6.20. After checking out, the delivery date confirmation email showed a 4.8.20 delivery. I understand and accept the delay given this pandemic but recommend you update your website to reflect realistic delivery timelines.
4.8.20 The delivery driver drops off part of my order and says there's another truck to drop off the rest of my order the following day, Thursday 4.9.20.
Saturday, 4.10.20. Still no delivery, I call the Hillcroft store that morning and speak with someone who says they're guaranteeing my delivery that day 4.10.20 or - at the latest - the next day, 4.11.20.
4.11.20 5:30pm. No order. I call the Hillcroft store and after explaining my situation to a young lady, I am transferred to Manny - a supervisor - who tells me, "it's 10 minutes before store close. I'm going to deal with that, not your problem. Call back tomorrow." I explain to Manny that customers like me are the reason he has a store to close all I want to know is where my order is. He refuses to help me.
4.12.20 I call and speak with the store assistant manager, John. I tell him my customer journey and he assures me I will receive my order Wednesday (today) 4.15.20.
4.15.20 I receive a call from an associate from Hillcroft store who tells me my order has been cancelled because they don't ship out of state. As I'm trying to ask some clarifying questions, she hangs up on me.
I call back and get transferred to my Manny who informs me they have a delivery available Monday, 4.20.20. I explain to many that given our recent interaction, he is not someone in which I have confidence to assist me with this matter and that I'd like the previous manager, John, the other manger Jerry, or the store manager Cedric to call me directly to resolve this matter.
Manny proceeds to tell me that no one from the management team will call me because they don't have the knowledge to help me.
To the managers of this Hillcroft store; John, Jerry, and Cedric. I don't know why your staff isn't confident in your ability to help your customers and - unfortunately - I've lost my confidence in your ability to run your store and help your customers.
I don't know what else I could have done to get the items I paid for. I'm cancelling my order and will go out of my way to avoid coming to or shopping at this store again.
I want to be painfully clear I do not want you to terminate Manny as the 20million jobless claims in the US today continue to climb. I don't wish that on him or anyone else. I would recommend John, Jerry, and Cedric, that you get your...
Read moreI never do this, but the lack of professionalism and customer service at this location really struck me. I went in today to purchase a part for my ECHO weed eater that was available according to online. I spent a good 30+ minutes just looking for the part at this location. In between that time I asked a few employees for help, but not a single person helped me out except an extremely nice lady in customer service. At first, I asked an elderly man in isle 51 to help me find the part... unfortunately, he told me he didn’t work that section saying that he will find someone to help me out, only to never be seen again. I waited a good 10 minutes waiting for someone untiI Teniola (I believe that’s the name on the badge) and party showed up to stock up items in isle 51. A young man who had a key to unlock an item for another customer showed up as well, but he asked Teniola and party to help me because he had to walk to the front with the item and customer. They were standing there conversing and laughing their lives off while I was waiting to be helped. Until finally Teniola apologized and helped me out, only to say that they don’t have the item in stock. No one bothered to look on the device to see if they have the item, they simply said “if it’s not down there then we don’t have it”. And I understand that certain items online don’t update quick, but every person I asked to help me out said that it wasn’t in stock. The young Hispanic lady in customer service was doing all she can to help me out, by calling someone and looking for the item itself on the computer... however, everybody working in isle 51 did not care to give me single taste of customer service. Mind you not, i walked out the store and as soon as I got home I ordered the part online at the same location that I was told it wasn’t available. I showed up to the store again 30 mins later and I was handed the same part I was looking for not even an hour earlier. How is that possible? I understand work is not always a happy place, but I would hope that the employees would at least try to give some sort of customer service and...
Read moreHome Depot's website advertises same day delivery. When the workers at my house took off the old storm door, I decided to get a new one but the contractor needed it the same day. I bought the door on Home Depot's website electing same day delivery. Then I found out same day delivery does not exit. I paid $65 to have the door picked up the same day. 1 1/2 hours of pure drama to have my delivery fee refunded. I inadvertently bought a LH door, needed a RH door. Took the door back to exchange it and decided to special order a door. I was told Home Depot charges $35 to send someone out to confirm measurements and $127 to install. I decided to have Home Depot install the door since the contractor's trip fee was $175. The contractor was not charging an install fee since removal and replacement of the storm door was included in what I had already paid them. After Home Depot's measurement, the fee to install the door was $484. Really? First of all it cost me $65 to have a door picked up after the false advertisement of same day delivery. Secondly, I paid $35 to Home Depot for them to change the install fee from $127 to $484. Let me be clear, the $127 was never presented as an estimate, it was presented as a flat fee. Home Depot has the integrity of a snake oil salesman.
One 🌟 is for having the door I wanted. For lack of integrity Home Depot gets...
