Erica is absolute angel. I was recently in an accident in which I was on my bike and someone hit me with their truck. I was unable to move my arm and therefore could not wash my hair. My hair was absolutely filthy after being in the hospital and unable to move and do things. I called Salon in the Heights to ask if they would wash my hair. I felt embarassed about asking for help or for that kind of service. Upon arrival, Erica was so kind and welcoming and did an amazing job washing my hair even using specific shampoo and conditioner to treat my color and greasy hair. Not only did she care for my hair but she also provided a space of loving and listening support for me during my appointment when I was having a really rough time after being exposed to such a scary and physical trauma. She's an angel. She hyped me up and had me feeling like a whole new woman and like I was ready to take on the world. She's basically a therapist as well. I am so happy to have found Salon in the Heights and Diano! A small salon with a very welcoming, friendly and professional atmosphere. There is also an extra level of comfort because they follow the covid 19 guidelines with total ease. My teenage son had his haircut first. He has long hair and Diano talked to him about what he wanted, asked him about how he wanted to style his hair daily, etc, and gave him an incredible haircut that is so cool & effortless and just what he wanted. Once I saw what he did for him I scheduled an appointment with him before we left. A couple of days later I was back for highlights & a haircut. I could not be more pleased! I have lived in Houston for going on 5 years and never even looked for a hair stylist, because I've been scarred before. My hair is often hip-length straight (waist length curly) and very thick, and I can't tell you how many times I've had stylists cut if off and claim that 'it's still long', even when I specifically stated no more than a couple of inches.

Erica was recommended to me by a friend, and I am SO glad she was. She was wonderful. She even cut less than I initially said, just to make sure I was sure, given my prior experiences.

She also took her time on my hair, and it came out beautifully at the end. I received a ton of compliments on my hair after she cut it, and it looks so much healthier now.
