A little disappointed that they didn't have some of the items that were on Yelp posted from older reviews. On the bright side, I was wowed by the other stuff. Food, service, and did I say food?
The pork belly was full of flavor, the caramelized onions were just the cherry on top. I wish it had some bread because the sauce was phenomenal! Must get!!
Hummus trio was amazing also. My favorite was the eggplant and I dont like eggplant. I liked how there were fresh vegetables with it too. Carrots, raddish, asparagus and bread! Enough for 4!!!
Now the entrees. We got the grouper with mixed vegetables. Those vegetables consisted of fava beans, mushrooms, and onions. The grouper was cooked perfectly and whatever sauce that came with it was addicting!!! Seriously delicious and must have!! The chef knew what he was doing!
Next was the steak frites. The steak was a little overcooked than medium rare. The fries were very crispy and the aoli was a good pairing for them. Aside from that, not anything special than other steak frites I've had.
Next was the lasagna since it was Monday. It came with a Caesar salad for $19. Not bad. I wish it was hotter in temperature, but the salad was done nicely. The lasagna had a nice crispy corner, which I took and that was delicious. They also had enough cheese that was a surprise because most restaurants skip the amount.
Finally, my favorite was this apolgotti pasta. The sweet corn pasta was a delightful surprise and my favorite. MUST GET. You have to. The sauce for this was good with EVERYTHING. YOU CAN EAT A SHOE WITH THIS SAUCE. great alternative for vegetarians.
The chocolate espresso cake with ice cream was fantastic. Rich and moist and just the right dessert for a great dinner. Our server really pushed that we get this and we were not disappointed. Our service was a team effort and the table was always clean. Filled glasses of wine and water, what more...
Read moreDecided to come here with my boyfriend for dinner since it was close by our Airbnb. The environment and atmosphere was beautiful and we were welcomed in with them asking if we were apart of the big party. We said no and we got seated where the waiter lit a candle and gave us time to order. Me and my boyfriend didn’t realize that majority of the drinks on the menu were alcohol as we never went to this place before and were just looking for a spot to eat. I can’t have alcohol, so my boyfriend asked the waiter if there were any nonalcoholic drinks, which in my defense I would’ve been completely fine with just a water or a soda. But the waiter gave my boyfriend a weird look and said “um we have coke.” And I said that I’d just take it. We ordered our food and the food for its price was great but we were barely checked on by our own waiter but instead was constantly checked on by the person who brought out our food. My boyfriend then asked that same waiter towards the end of our dining experience where the restrooms were because they were hidden and he just mumbled and said it’s over there, which wasn’t really clear so my boyfriend ended up almost walking into the kitchen and another person had to redirect him to the restroom.. the vibes here are weird but the food was great so I guess it’s a win lose...
Read moreThis place had been on my list to try and I’m so glad it hit the spot! I took my mom, grandmother, and my wife here for brunch. We hadn’t seen each other in months so what started out as breakfast turned into brunch and then lunch. We ordered several round of mimosas and coffee while we caught up and we also ordered breakfast. I loved their chai. It was hot, spicy, sweet, and huge! You can’t go wrong with their chai. I also loved my crispy pork belly and grits with a hot honey glaze. The flavors of sweet, sour, spicy, salty along with the crispy texture of the pork belly and grits made this an incredibly flavorful bite. Even without tasting the rest of the menu I can say with certainty this is definitely a star dish. They had a range of offers for breakfast so no matter whether you were craving something sweet or savory they had something to satisfy you. There was a bar, booths, tables, and an alley with outdoor tables you could sit at along with clean bathrooms. The restaurant was ADA accessible and overall it was a chill vibe to do brunch and enjoy a weekend morning. We especially appreciated the server who doted on us, Jenn. She was very sweet and accommodating my grandmother. I’m going to add this to my list of fave weekend...
