I recently moved to Houston and usually only get my hair done once a year or so and have been pretty anxious about finding a hairdresser. (Tldr - last paragraph)
Got my hair done by Oliva and Jessie a few months ago and was relieved to say the least. They were an AMAZING team. I felt so comfortable and at home with the two of them. They listened very carefully and discussed what was realistic for my hair given that I had used store bought toners on it and had been cutting my own hair for the past year. I received a discount on my hair treatment as a gift! They were so much fun to talk with during the process as well. Mid-cut they did tell me that there was more choppiness than initially expected and then the new shorter length was well communicated. I will say tho, I was still charged for the longer length that I was initially going to keep.
I’m usually not one to say anything if things aren’t perfect, but Jessie and Olivia were a wonderful advocates and worked with me until my hair was the color I wanted to achieve. It was a long process though! I started at 1:30 and was the last person to leave. .
Read moreI was kinda skeptical coming here, but Olivia change that for me. A little back story, I didn't have the best luck at salons so I started dying my hair with over the counter products. I realized that those products were harsh on my scalp/hair and in less then a month lost soo much hair that I went from having full thick hair to fair hair. I waited 6 months before trying another alternative. That's when I decided to dye my hair with henna. If you don't know, dying your hair with henna is a 2 day process. I have greys I tried to cover only for it to come out orange like. Waited a couple months and dyed it again, but it really didn't give me the color I wanted even after testing it. So here I am with 3 or 4 different colors in my hair . I have no trust in any salon because the ones I've gone to had either chopped me up real bad or dyed my hair the wrong color. I mean the list can go on, so I decided to give one more shot at a salon before chopping it all off and starting from scratch. Salon Per Se has saved me from the unevitable. I did a consultation with Olivia and explained to her everything my hair has gone through and i needed to know if she can fix it. I didn't have any faith in her, because I've been told before that yes we can fix it, but it has always failed. Me being a risk taker i Scheduled an appointment and today I have the results. After years and I'm talking 5 + years of dealing with other stylist I have finally!!! FINNALLY! found my stylist!! 😭 she literally saved my hair! My hair feels like it was brought back to life! I mean if u can understand how stressful it can be to put trust in hair stylist to do something you've been asking for for years and to final have someone thay actually listened and made it happen. So yes I gave this place a 5 star bc not only did she saved my hair, but the hospitality is like no...
Read moreAt the recommendation of a very good friend, I took the chance and put 110% of my trust in Hardy and let me tell you, he did NOT disappoint. Having gone through some tough times, I stopped taking care of myself and that also meant my hair. It was super long, tangled, hard to manage, dry, damaged and just plain yuck. I had a burgundy balayage done at another hair salon that did not care about how much damage would be done to my hair and it clearly shows. Hardy was so sweet and kind despite having to be very honest about the condition of my hair. And he was right - my dead hair needed to go and I'm so freaking glad I trusted him. My hair has so much volume now, it literally feels like a weight was lifted off my shoulders. It feels super healthy, has good movement, and looks glossy naturally without any products. Hardy took the time to explain things to me so I could understand and even used an analogy of hair being similar to an electrical current. He said the protein in your hair travels the same way it does in a charging cord for example. Eventually, hair gets damaged and the connection is lost so the protein cannot nourish the dry, damaged ends of the hair. Sheeeeesh. Talk about big brain. The way he understands hair and is able to visualize what your hair will look like before he does anything goes to show how much of a hair artist he is. I do not trust very many people in this world, but you can believe me when I say Hardy will be my ONLY hair stylist from now on. I also have to give love to Mai, his lovely assistant for helping in this transformation as well. Thank you guys so much for taking such good care of me! I’ll see y’all later at...
