Sotaki Dance School — Local services in Houston

Tom, Taylor, Annie, and Ashleigh are the coolest dance teachers you could ask for. Ever since I committed to taking Zouk classes with them, my life has changed for the better. I can’t recommend Sotaki enough. Very beginner-friendly, but they also have class offerings for more experienced dancers. Not to mention the amazing community they have built here in Houston. As someone with zero prior dancing experience, I felt very welcomed from day one. I’ve been dancing with this group for about 6 months now, and I can really feel my skills improving. In the process, I have made some great friends and connections.

I’ve enjoyed my Zouk journey so far, Tom and Taylor and the best dance instructors I’ve had periodt!! They are full of positive energy, fun and being a great sense of community from the start. My favorite part of class is the warm up, it gets you loose, it’s fun, silly, playful and you just feel like a big kid.

They have a solid curriculum and I’m looking forward to meet the dancer I’ll become when I get to the more advanced levels. I highly recommend their classes….Zouk is fun and very versatile. You can incorporate some of it in other dances like Bachata and the amount of songs that are Zoukable are...

Tom, Taylor, Ash and Annie are doing a fantastic job at Sotaki! One of the things I love about Sotaki is their emphasis on dancing to connect rather than to impress. This has allowed them to create a very welcoming, beginner-friendly atmosphere to learn how to dance - a safe space to make mistakes and grow together!
