I showed up at 3:50 PM this afternoon to pick up an order I placed yesterday evening. The Associate dealing with drive up pick up delivered orders to multiple cars that arrived after me before she acknowledged me. After over 20 minutes of waiting she finally informed me an associate had forgotten to pack one of my items and it would be right out. I thought this was odd since Iād gotten an alert my order was ready at 9:30 PM the night before.
After a lengthy amount of time during which the associate did her best to ignore me while delivering other orders to vehicles that continued to arrive and leave with their items, I found out from a man who Iām guessing was her supervisor that she had lied to my face and she had actually given my order to another customerā¦.. even though target had already charged me for these items AND has a MULTI-step process for identifying orders for drive up pick up including a) car color, b) body type of car, c) parking spot number, d) code on phone, e) code associated with order, not to mention, the time a customer says they are on their way and then the time a customer says that they have arrived via the app. The number of steps this associate had to skip to give someone else my order is honestly reprehensible. I wonder how sheād feel if Targetās accounting department skipped steps and deposited her paycheck in someone elseās account⦠Hmmā¦
The supervisor then said I could either cancel my order or āwait and seeā if the other customer brings my items back. ???? Is that really an option youād recommend to someone? What kind of training does Target give nowadays?
They offered me a $15 gift card but never once apologized or made any acknowledgment of their wrong. They had the audacity to blame the other customer for not checking their bags!
In case you donāt know, if you select drive up pick up in the Target app they automatically select the trunk to place your items and instruct you to not even open your window when you show the associate your code (you can select a different part of your car if youād like, but the trunk is always pre-selected). The whole benefit of it is that it is supposed to be a very quick and no contact service. So getting out of your car to double check everything would defeat the whole purpose of the service. Unbelievable. Thereās literally no excuse except laziness.
I had items in that order that I needed for an engagement at 5:30 that I was unable to attend due to your associatesā lack of attention to detail. When I went inside to try and replace the items myself they were not available in the size, color, or model Iād purchased.
My order still has not been cancelled and Iāve still not received a refund. Worst customer service ever. Will NEVER use your drive up pick up service again! Your associates are liars, unreliable, and take no responsibility for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis has always been such a good location, before the renovation and especially now after! I feel it is so community-oriented and disability friendly compared to other locations Iāve been. It is always clean and tidy, items almost always in stock shortly after launch, large and tidy Bullseye Playground, and at least 12 self-checkouts split between both sides of the store always staffed with employees who donāt have any other tasks to cause long waits if customers need help with machines. Iāve had personal help in the Ulta section that was knowledgeable and professional, Iāve had help when Iāve had large, heavy items, and I havenāt been bothered unnecessarily which is great for me as a disabled individual who doesnāt have a lot of energy to spend on extraneous social interactions. Iāve also gone in the store in the last two hours many times due to my schedule and disability-related reasons, so Iāve seen several times staff interacting with the local houseless population in this area. This can be pretty difficult at times, which I can speak to because I used to work service-industry nearby to this Target on the same street. These individuals are just part of the local neighborhood, for whatever reason per person that might be, and us employees have to enforce policy but are given either sub-par or no training on how to interact with these neighbors in a safe and respectful way. While not always, I sometimes saw the same individuals multiple times at the entrance of this Target during late-night runs, and I was always so surprised and thankful to see how composed and respectful the staff interacting with these individuals were in every single case I saw. That made me feel like the employees at this Target werenāt just āthrowing anyone out that made a fuss,ā but were actively working together to make this location the best it could be for themselves and the rest of us here in this neighborhood. Definitely not perfect, but absolutely a five-star...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTodayās experience at Target left me truly disappointed. As a loyal customer for the past four years, I have always appreciated the quality of service that Target provides, but this visit was a stark contrast. Around 9 PM, my partner and I encountered a situation that undermined the customer experience. While we were in line to pay, we witnessed employees engrossed in personal conversations, completely neglecting the customers waiting to be served. I understand the value of camaraderie at work, but there is a time and place for everything. It was disheartening to see the manager trying to address this issue via intercom, urging her team to focus on their responsibilities. She was clearly trying to prevent them from having to stay late to finish their tasks. Instead of rallying together, the employees responded by complaining and demonstrating insubordination. This behavior is unacceptable in any professional environment. As customers, we seek not only quality products but also attentive service. The lack of professionalism I observed was disappointing, particularly for someone who values dedication and commitment to oneās job. I felt compelled to voice my concerns because Target deserves to know the conduct of its employees. While they were busy chit-chatting, I found myself repeating questions and waiting for their attention, which took away from my shopping experience. The cashier seemed more focused on her social interactions than on providing the level of service that Target is known for. Target can do better. Letās ensure that the standards of customer service remain high by encouraging teamwork and professionalism among employees.
After all, we all play a role in creating a positive shopping...
