$1/lbs Thursday?! Count me in! The Bins in Montrose @The Bins #thrift #houston #montrose #thriftstore #stufftodoinhouston

It is a really organized store, bins are organized by type (jeans, shirts) & then by mens women’s kids. It is a clean facility with friendly staff. It isn’t really for the ā€œvintageā€ shopper per-say. But we did find a few good pieces. We went on the $1/lbs day, so it was a big crowded & a few of the bins needed to be restocked. The parking situation is wild, I didn’t personally see a parking lot that was specifically for this store so I had to park a couple blocks down. I did see street parking as well. It’s in a very walkable area, it’s just always a little risky parking in other businesses parking lots (you might get towed).

Some nice clothes and fair enough prices, but I thought they supplied exclusively vintage clothes. I didn’t know that included fast fashion. I found shein, forever 21 and Rue 21 in the bins.

Come here with an open mind! This place isn't like the curated thrift stores nearby, it's more like the goodwill bins; so you WILL HAVE to spend more time combing through products to find a gem. I recommend coming on a weekday, because the prices are more expensive on the weekends and comparable to normal thrift stores.

I personally don't think it's worth it to get the mystery bag. Most of the clothes aren't particularly stylish and you will not be able to resell the clothes easily. Though I got over a 100% return on investment and found items that would've cost more if I bought them individually, there was a substantial amount of labor (2-3hrs) that went into trying to sell the products to other thrift stores.

Don't forget to bring a pair of gloves, I don't think these clothes are washed and you don't know what...

This is like the Goodwill bins, but for vintage maniacs, like me. I'm guessing it's like the outlet for those surrounding consignment stores like Pavement, except there are way more vintage. I was about to lose my mind when I pulled out a Love Shack Fancy dress. Wut... I've never found Love Shack Fancy in the thrift much less the outlet! I'm so glad I found this place. The drawback is that on the restock days (Friday and weekends), price is a little high ($10 per lb). I suggest going on those days for silk, satin items, T shirts or really special items, and come back the next day when it's $5 a pound or any other day of the week for jackets, boots and...
