The Bordeaux Tanglewood Apartments — Local services in Houston

I am current resident at the Bordeaux I can truly say this has been the WORST apartment lease I’ve signed in my life!, In the 8 months I’ve lived here I have experienced “Not one but 2 annual routine Apartment inspections” Which I’ve never heard off anywhere else I’ve lived in. The first month I moved in The A/C unit went out in my apartment and took a week to fix a very hot & long summer week, I must say management did credit my Lease that month an exiting $100 on the second month of me Living here a Mayor plumbing issue arose in the courtyard area which just happened to block access to my front door, that took two weeks to be repaired on the fifth month of my Contract I walked into my apartment one day after work only to discover there had been a MAYOR plumbing leak that caused damage to my Living room, coat closet & Guest bathroom it took management a week before getting a carpet company to address my Issue with The mold like stench coming from my carpet after the incident, while this was going on and maintenance was supposed to be in my Apartment putting blowers to dry the carpet in the affected areas they somehow ended up snooping thru my Home and went as far as to take a picture of a small hole in the Sheetrock in my Master bathroom to report which I later found out thanks to a meeting with June the manager of the property. Maintenance is KNOWN with Residents to just walk in whenever as seen in other reviews, lastly I want to mention how management has favorite tenants at this complex reason I say this is because back on my first Couple of months here management asked me to take down a work out bench I had in my Back Enclosed Patio because as stated in the leasing agreement management may determine what is or isn’t acceptable to have on your patios however it also states how you are Not allowed to hang curtains or drapes on your windows but somehow a handful of this properties favorite...

I was a tenant for 1 year and 10 months! STOP POSTING FAKE REVIEWS THIS PLACE IS NOT 4 STARS!!! Where do i begin?First off they will watch your guest you invite over and tell you they are not allowed after three times a week. Don't ask for anything to be upgraded or fixed because they will tell you that you have to pay for it. When i first moved into the bordeaux June was as sweet as ever to take my money and tell me how proud she was i moved out here on my own. When i first moved in May2017 i was paying $827 a month for the apartment 710 which is a studio apartment. 2017-2018 was pretty okay. Then once i renewed my lease again in may 2018 all hell started, they moved my rent up over $100 and acted like it was still a deal went from $827 to $936. Now gets to the fun part after leasing for almost two years, i got into a horrible car accident when i almost died. June was more concerned about getting her money than actually caring that my life was almost ended bringing her a check. I had only been late on my rent by like a day or two around 3 times out of 22months. (my paydays were never lined with rent). I had come to June in march of 2019 and told her due to me losing my car and me being in a lawsuit i had lost my job. I offered to pay for april and asked would she accept my deposit as may's rent so i could leave on good terms. She was not trying to work with me AT ALL. told me i would be better off staying ( when i had no way to pay). so i gave her back the apartment. Want to know what june did? racked up charges against me totaling over $4000; so now because of a sorry bitter lonely old lady i now have 22,000 in medical bills to worry about while also adding 3,000 on top of that. When I finally visited the community, it felt like stepping into the photos—picturesque, peaceful, and exactly as advertised. I knew right then my search was over. This felt like home.

Leading up to move-in, the team continued to impress. Maintenance was already checking things on-site to make sure everything was just right before I even arrived. My first couple of nights were an adjustment, like any move, but they were quiet and calm. No loud parties, no disturbances—just peace. The grounds are well-kept and perfect for walks, and while this is still Houston (eyes and ears always open), I genuinely felt at ease here. My head didn’t feel the need to swivel.

I especially appreciate that this is a no-smoking community—that alone was a huge plus for me. If you’re looking for a clean, quiet, safe place to live with a team that actually cares and responds, I can’t recommend this place enough.
