I feel bad for the service staff here... Surely they have to be embarrassed by the food/price ratio and quality of product.
Let me be clear, certain things here are delicious. I am Thai myself and just came back from a trip to Thailand this September. It's astounding to me how this spot can be such a hit on certain things and an absolute flop on others.
Ordered Panang Curry with shrimp. The flavor profile is spot on. Slightly salt from the peanuts, slightly sweet from coconut, and the spicy levels were great. BUT then you go and throw in whole shrimp (with tails) and have the audacity to charge $41.60 for like a cup (8 oz) of curry?! FFS, you think you could at least trim the tails for that price. It's a curry you eat traditionally as a soup or served over rice. You eat this with a spoon or chopsticks not a fork and knife.
The Som Tam (listed simply as papaya salad on the menu) has 0 peppers in it. WHITE WASHED.
Pad Thai was good. Not good enough to save the rest of it.
Oh and to top it off, $10 dollars for a BITE (maybe two) of sticky rice? What a joke. This is a prime example of someone posting up in a upscale part of town, half assing it, and over pricing it.
Tldr; some of the food is good but it's clear the owners/managers that set the portions, prices, and styles think the consumers are dumb and have decided to whitewash, under deliver and over price Thai food. If THATS the goal: 10/10

Read moreRestaurant is in a cute area and the ambiance is nice (sit outside if you can, it's very dim on the inside at night), and the flavors of the food are great! However, the service is awful. We weren't there on a busy night and yet it still took forever for people to come take our order and subsequently give us the food. The appetizer portions are laughable, for example the chicken satay came with 3 half skewers for around 7 or 8 dollars, and the calamari came with 5 pieces for about 12 dollars... If you've ever eaten at any other Thai place you know that that's ridiculous). The worst part was when the waiter made inappropriate comments when we ordered the appetizers. We had a table about 8 people and when the chicken satay skewers were brought the waiter said "so you can each take one bite and pass it around." First off, it's the restaurants problem the portions are small and our table felt as if he was insinuating we were being cheap in not ordering more even though they never even suggested more. We ended up ordering the calamari as a second appetizer which was even more disappointing and when he took the plate away he said "do y'all want to lick the plate?" just an inappropriate comment to make at an establishment like this. Their entrée portions were reasonable but their curry came with one tiny scoop of rice and several people in our party had to ask for multiple bowls of rice (which were forgotten and took 10 minutes to get...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI very rarely write any kind of reviews because I had been in the industry for as long as I can remember. I felt like I really need to say something this time though. Made a reservation for my daughter and myself and we showed up and she said to sit outside so we did and we sat outside for 15 minutes before I said enough is enough so we walked inside and I told the two girls that I wanted to sit somewhere inside because we had not been greeted for 15 minutes so we sat inside then it took another 10 to 15 minutes for us to get greeted inside. I ordered a drink and she ordered a drink. I saw probably about five people walk by that Martini sitting on the bar before I finally stopped one of the waitresses and said, ācan you go pick up that martini that you just walked right by? ā Ordered our food. Things went fine from there and then we ordered some thing at the very end and it did not come out for the whole remainder of the meal it was, however, on my bill. I asked for it to be removed and I was told it was on the bill because it was ordered later. Iāll be very honest and I have had appetizers and pad Thai noodles in between the order. I was literally left out of everything and totally forgotten. So...
