1981 Cafe — Restaurant in Houston

This was our second time here and we had planned on becoming regulars due to my son's frequent visits in the building. We were taken advantage of today when we were charged $8.00 for two plain pieces of white bread with jelly only on one. My avocado toast with two pieces of white bread, avocado, and scrambled eggs was $6.00. When I got my email receipt and came back to question it and showed our receipt for our first visit where the plain toast was only $3.00, I was told a man last time must have made a mistake, but it was the exact same person that took our order then that did today and it was a female. The same two females that were working last time were there today, and one even remembered us at the time I paid which made us feel valued and wanting to return again.

I have never felt so deceived by a business, and I know I was flat out lied to. You could feel it. Not to mention it took 30 minutes to get our toast when there was only one other person in line behind us. I'm not sure the reason but it was ridiculous. As a small business owner myself, this really upset me as I would NEVER treat my customers this way. Shame on y'all. We will not be returning.

You have to walk through the front of the office building. Go left… pass one open area…. Keep walking…. Pass another open area and then… you will see it! It was so so delicious and albeit awkward to get there, worth it! We got a bacon cheeseburger… cooked to perfection! Bacon 🥓 crispy. Teriyaki chicken… perfect! Rice and zucchini and squash 🤤 Chicken tenders were great. My son is a connoisseur. 👍 Cilantro chicken sandwich - pretty darn good Another chicken sandwich with avocado and fried cheese!
